“Margot Robbie is expecting a child!”
That the Barbie actress, who is 34 years old, and her husband, Tom Ackerley, are expecting their first child has been confirmed by a number of sources to People.
PEOPLE’s efforts for comment were not met with a response from representatives for either of the two celebrities.
Their first encounter took place in 2013 on the set of the World War II drama Suite Francaise, where Robbie was working as an assistant director and Ackerley was performing in front of the camera. Both of them were 34 years old at the time.
In December of 2016, they tied the knot in a private ceremony that took place in Byron Bay, which is located in Australia. Neither of them ever made the announcement that they were engaged before they were married.
In the beginning, Robbi and Ackerley were friends. They worked together on the production business LuckyChap as part of a four-person producing team that also included Sophia Kerr, Robbie’s childhood friend, and Josey McNamara.
The production firm has been responsible for the production of a number of films and television programs, some of which include I, Tonya, Birds of Prey, and Barbie, all of which featured Robbie.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Ackerley discussed how he and Robbie manage to maintain a healthy balance between their personal and professional lives.
“[We spend] 24 hours a day [together],” he said to reporters. “There are no interruptions. We do not have a toggle that can be turned on or off. It’s all merged into a single entity.”
