Judy Belushi-Pisano, an actress and producer who was married to the famed comedian John Belushi, has reportedly passed away, as stated by tweets on John’s official social media accounts.
The devastating news was disclosed in a statement that was published on Facebook and Instagram early on Saturday morning. The post said that Judy had just passed away, and it praised her for her artistic creativity as well as for remembering John in the decades that followed his loss from an overdose.
In addition, Judy’s participation with “The Blues Brothers” is mentioned in the social media postings. According to IMDb, Judy was assisting in the production of a television series based on the legendary musical comedy film starring JB and Dan Aykroyd. It has not been determined what caused the loss.
Judy was born and raised in Wheaton, Illinois, and she and John first became acquainted with one another when they were both students at the same high school in the area. They began dating while Judy was a sophomore and John was a senior.
The pair relocated to New York City after they had both graduated in order for Belushi to pursue his goals of working in the entertainment industry. They were married in 1976.
Of course, John’s career flourished, and Judy featured with him in a number of other productions, including “Animal House” and the first picture in the Blues Brothers franchise.
The marriage between Pisano and Belushi lasted until 1982, when Belushi passed of an overdose caused by a mix of heroin and cocaine. After some time, in 1990, she tied the knot with film producer Victor Pisano. The relatives of Judy’s family have been contacted, but we have not received any response as of yet.
