By proudly giving a shout out to their child’s service, Lewis Alexander took the time to recognize his courageous kid who served in the United States Marine Corps by posting stickers on his and his wife Tami’s vehicles. On the other hand, they never under any circumstances anticipated that the stickers, which said “Proud parent of a United States Marine,” would incite animosity. After leaving his car parked at a shop, Lewis went back to his vehicle to discover that someone had left him a scathing message in reaction to the sticker.

When he was getting about to go out of the parking lot, he spotted the piece of paper that was stuck to his windshield. He stopped immediately to check out what it stated. When he read the words, he was completely taken aback. It was a message that was written by a complete stranger that was so nasty that it caused him to cry and drove him to call the police. It turned out that there was no criminal conduct performed since the letter did not include a real threat; nonetheless, the sheriff’s office did make the public aware of this nasty note by posting about it on their Facebook page.

It was written on the message, “F**k you and your son.” I pray that he passes away. In part, the sheriff’s office posted the following statement on Facebook: “We can’t undo the message, and we almost hate to share it, but we decided that we could use it as an opportunity to say thank you.” Join us, if you must.

To the individual who is now serving our nation, to anybody who has served or is currently serving our country, and to all the families who have sacrificed precious months and years with a loved one, we would want to express our gratitude to you and your son, daughter, husband, wife, relative, or friend for what you have provided for us.

In spite of the fact that we are aware that our world is not a secure place and that not everyone is able to return home safely, we want for each and every man and woman to return home safely. The families that we have are also veterans’ families. Although we are unable to place a message on every windshield, we are able to express it here: “We respect you, we support you, and we are here for you at home.”

Lewis said, “Wow, this person is evil,” in reference to the unknown individual who had left the message. Additionally, he said, “My kid is serving to safeguard that person’s right to do that, and that really impacted me, so I phoned the sheriff’s department…I had tears in my eyes.” “I feel comforted, very much comforted,” Lewis said in response to the decision made by the sheriff’s department to publish the remark on Facebook along with a message of gratitude to those who would be serving in the armed forces.

With regard to their son’s decision to serve in the military, Tami said to FOX35 that their son “wanted to make a difference in the world, and this was his choice.” Lewis did, in fact, have a message for the unknown person who left the letter. He shared his thoughts with the reporter, saying, “If I could leave a note on their car, I’d probably say… God bless you.”

On their post, the sheriff’s office got a rush of comments, one of which was from a person who made the following observation: “Whoever left this note should be found and publicly shamed.” Although I do not support the pointless wars that the United States has been involved in over the course of the last quarter of a century, I do support our armed forces. They are deserving of our respect and gratitude since they placed their life at danger for us.

An further commenter expressed their gratitude by saying, “I am thankful for people like your son, that they are willing and ready to protect and defend this country with their lives.” We are grateful to the families that sacrifice their loved ones in order to ensure that we are able to enjoy the liberties that our ancestors had envisioned for us. America, may God bless you!
