An online obituary that was written to celebrate the life of the model Nyima Ward passed away at the age of 27. Nyima Ward was the son of Trish Goff, who was herself a model and an animal activist, and Aaron Ward.
According to the obituary that was published on RobertsFunerals.com, “Nyima Lee Ward of Ocala, Florida blew into this world on January 2, 1997 destined to live life his own way.” “He left it May 29, 2024 having lived fiercely, loved deeply and made memories with the kind of fervor that only a young man who never met a stranger could do.”
A reason of loss is not mentioned in the obituary for the deceased.
The phrase “a boy of the world” is used to characterize Nyima, who had a passion for traveling and taking care of animals.
“It wouldn’t have been unheard of to find Nyima with a stray animal he’d saved on the side of the road or calling his mom to ask about animal care tips,” according to the funeral announcement.
On Monday, June 3, makeup artist Aaron de Mey posted a touching tribute on Instagram, in which he informed his followers of Nyima’s passing.
“My dearest Nyima 🫅🏻 Rest in peace. 🕊️” There is a caption for de Mey. “To put it simply, I admire you…always a source of excitement, always a source of pleasure, always compassionate, and always kind. Best wishes to your mother and father, as well as to all of your other friends and family members.
Photographs of Nyima as a youngster with his parents were included in the post that was made by the makeup artist. Additionally, a more current photograph of the model with his distinctive long hair was also included. Several prominent figures in the fashion world, such as photographers Inez and Vinoodh and hairstylists Harry Josh and Peter Butler, expressed their sympathies in the comments section of the news article.

Goff became a prominent figure in the fashion industry during the 1990s, when she was featured in advertising campaigns for brands like as Chanel, Christian Dior, and YSL. Subsequently, she obtained her license to practice real estate in New York City, and she is now employed with Sotheby’s Realty as a Global Advisor. Since then, she has relocated to Kenya with Bonnouvrier in order to take a job with a wildlife protection organization. In order to further their advocacy, the couple constructed a house in close proximity to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya.
At the age of 18, Nyima began her career as a model. Following the divorce of his parents, Goff started a relationship with David Bonnouvrier, the proprietor of DNA Models. Eventually, the duo was successful in persuading Nyima to sign with the modeling agency.
“They have been trying to get me to sign for an indefinite amount of time, and I have always responded with a “nay, nay.” As soon as I became 18, I thought to myself, “I might as well give it a shot,” the model said in an interview with W in 2017.
As a result of his waist-length black hair and sculpted cheekbones, Nyima was able to win a number of high-profile gigs, including collaborations with renowned fashion photographers such as Steven Meisel and Bruce Weber. The year 2015 was his first time walking the runway for Anna Sui, which was 23 years after his mother had made her first appearance on the catwalk for the same designer.
In addition, Nyima served as a model for the fashion designer John Varvatos.
Nyima considered modeling to be a side hobby, despite the fact that she had seen early success in the fashion industry.
“It’s less a career and more just something on the side,” he told The Washington Post. The majority of the time, I’ll have individuals who I knew when I was younger asking me, ‘Oh, can I shoot you?’ The reason for this is because I know a lot of people in the business. Or anything along those lines. Or, my agents would say something along the lines of, “Oh, this would be really cool for you to do.” Moreover, it is possible. When I think about it, I don’t really see it as a profession that will last for a long time.
