Morgan Spurlock, the director and star of documentaries such as “Super Size Me” (2004), has passed away from his illness. He was 53 years old.

On Friday, May 24, Spurlock’s family made the announcement that he had passed away on Thursday, May 23, in New York, due to complications resulting from his disease.

In a statement, his brother Craig stated, “It was a sad day, as we said goodbye to my brother Morgan.” Morgan was his brother. Through his work, his ideals, and his charity, Morgan contributed a great deal. He was a unique individual and a great creative genius, and the world has lost him. It is a source of immense pride for me to have collaborated with him.

The celebrity is left by his two boys, Laken and Kallen; his mother, Phyllis Spurlock; his father, Ben (Iris); his brothers, Craig (Carolyn) and Barry (Buffy); a large number of nieces and nephews; and his ex-wives, Alexandra Jamieson and Sara Bernstein, who are the mothers of his children.

Super Size Me, which was released in 2004, was nominated for an Academy Award in the category of Best Documentary Feature Award. At the same time as he is doing research on the fast food sector, he sets a challenge for himself to consume only meals from McDonald’s for a whole month.

Where in the World Is Osama bin Laden (2008), The Greatest Movie Ever Sold (2011), and the sequel Super Size Me 2: Holy Chicken! are some of the other documentaries that he has directed.

Amidst the #MeToo movement, Spurlock stated in an article that he was “part of the problem” and that he had previously settled a sexual harassment accusation that was brought by his assistant. This statement was made in 2017, when the movement was in full swing. After that, the celebrity said in an interview that he got sober while he was making atonement for his actions on the previous occasion.

Over the years, I have made an effort to make apologies to those individuals whom I believe I ought to have treated better along the road. I have also made an effort to put things right with my family. Currently, it constitutes a significant portion of the voyage, as he said to Deadline.

In addition, he said at the time, “Having the intention of being on the right side of it was a significant part of the reason I wrote that essay in the first place.” I am hoping that in the future, with the work that I do and the changes that I continue to go through, I will be able to be on the right side of the situation.
