A new series that will be available on Paramount+ will see the pair reprising their roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo.

Tiva has returned!

The official name of the spinoff featuring Cote de Pablo and Michael Weatherly that will be produced by NCIS has been disclosed.

On Tuesday, the news was disseminated by the legendary television team, who are known for their roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo, in a video that was uploaded on the official Instagram account of Paramount.

“This isn’t a drill! 🚨 NCIS: Tony & Ziva, starring Michael Weatherly and Cote de Pablo, is coming to #ParamountPlus! 💙,” the post said in English.

In the video, de Pablo and Weatherly use Zoom to provide a sneak peek at the news.

In the words of Weatherly, “We have a significant announcement to make.”

“Do we know when we’re going to do it?” de Pablo inquires. “Shall we do it?”

After that, Weatherly reads the question that the fans have been concerned about. “What’s the name of your new TV series?” he inquires further.

The two individuals then start to go through a list of possible names.

“Is it NCIS: Europe?” The question is posed by Weatherly.

“Nope,” de Pablo responds.

With the phrase “NCIS: Trust No One,” Weatherly says.

De Pablo screams, “No, even though that’s a really good one,” before eventually divulging the name of the program. “I want to know more about it.”

“NCIS: Tony & Ziva,” the two of them say together simultaneously.

“It makes it really easy because the fans will know exactly what the show is,” de Pablo adds to the conversation. “It’s about Tony and Ziva in Europe.”

The shooting schedule is discussed in further detail by Weatherly, which provides additional details. “We know we’re gonna shoot it this summer,” he adds in response.

The expectations that de Pablo has are quite high. “I expect intrigue, romance, the background of Europe,” she explains to me. “Impossible situations that will make our life very complicated but somehow a little something about love.”

In an effort to give the audience one more teasing moment, Weatherly poses the question, “You know what Tony is spelled backwards?”

De Pablo responds, “Y not,” to me.

After saying their goodbyes, the two individuals inform one another that they will meet up again in Europe.

An announcement was made by Paramount+ in February stating that the spinoff starring the dynamic couple was now in the process of being developed, and that they will be returning to their roles as Ziva David and Tony DiNozzo.

The production of the first season, which will consist of ten episodes, is slated to start later this year.

In the official summary of the spinoff, it is said that “After Ziva’s supposed loss, Tony left the NCIS team to go raise their daughter.” After a number of years, Ziva was found to be alive, which prompted her to do one more job with NCIS before she was reunited with Tony and their daughter in Paris. Ever since that time, Tony and Ziva have been working together to raise their daughter, Tali, and here is where we find them in the new original series that Paramount+ has produced. They have to go on the run throughout Europe, attempt to find out who is following them, and perhaps even learn to trust each other again in order to ultimately have their unorthodox happily ever after. This is because Tony’s security firm is assaulted, and they have to go on the run.

Additionally, Weatherly and de Pablo will serve as executive producers on the project, in addition to John McNamara playing the role of showrunner.

Weatherly and de Pablo issued a joint statement in which they claimed, “We have been discussing this story for a considerable amount of time, and now that John McNamara is providing leadership, we are prepared.” “The world of Tony and Ziva, together with their daughter Tali, is going to be an exciting roller coaster ride that is going to be filled with love, danger, tears, and laughter. Additionally, we would like to recognize and express our gratitude to the fans from all over the globe who have been supporting the ‘TIVA’ movement for a number of years. To this day, individuals continue to reach out to us in grocery stores and on the street to express how much these characters mean to them and to inquire about what Tony and Ziva are doing at the present time. I am giving this to you!

“I’m incredibly excited to step into the NCIS universe with Cote and Michael and thrilled to explore it from a few new angles,” said McNamara in addition. In view of the fact that the franchise is such a phenomenon all over the world, I believe it is absolutely incredible that CBS Studios and Paramount+ have granted us permission to film in Europe. I would be in violation of the Espionage Act if I were to reveal the name of this series to you when it comes to the title.
