After playing for the 76ers, Clippers, Grizzlies, and Nets, the former Michigan star also played for the Nets.
It was reported on Saturday by the University of Michigan that Darius Morris, a point guard who had played for the Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia 76ers, Los Angeles Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, and Brooklyn Nets throughout the course of his four-year career in the National Basketball Association, had passed away at the age of 33. Nobody was able to determine what caused the loss.
Under the direction of John Beilein, Morris spent two years playing for the Michigan Wolverines, and during his sophomore season in 2010-2011, he made it to the NCAA tournament. During that season, he established a new school mark with 235 assists, which has since been surpassed by Trey Burke (260) and Zavier Simpson (236). After playing collegiate basketball for two years, Morris eventually decided to enter the NBA Draft and was picked by the Lakers, his local club, with the 41st overall pick.

Morris was a member of the Los Angeles Lakers during the last two postseason seasons of Kobe Bryant’s spectacular career. He had an average of 3.6 points per game while playing for Los Angeles, making a total of 67 games. As a result of Bryant’s injury in 2013, Morris started two playoff games for the Los Angeles Lakers against the San Antonio Spurs during the 2012–2013 season. However, the Lakers were ousted from that series in a four-game sweep.
He would go on to play a total of sixty-five more games in the National Basketball Association for four different clubs. During the 2013–14 season, while he was playing with the 76ers, he established a new career best by scoring 20 points in a single game. Following his tenure in the National Basketball Association (NBA), he went on to play in the G-League and abroad until deciding to call it quits at the conclusion of the 2019-20 season. During that time, he was also a member of the French side BCM Gravelines-Dunkerque.
