We shouldn’t make any changes to the original. Many people adore it because of what it was. During his discussion of his time spent on “The Masked Singer,” Feldman expressed his belief that it is important to maintain the principles of truthfulness and altruism in relation to the art that we like.

The comments that Corey Feldman has made about the potential of a remake of Lost Boys may leave some of the show’s fans feeling a bit let down.

After his unmasking on The Masked Singer on Wednesday night, Feldman gave an interview to TooFab, during which he discussed the recreating of the cult classic film in an open and honest manner.

“Because I can’t tolerate it when things are remade or rebooted, I would gladly wish that none of those things ever happens. “In all honesty, I’m not interested in them,” Feldman said. “I believe that we should have all learnt our lesson from the Ghostbusters, namely the female Ghostbusters, right? One of the things that happened was that the movie did not do very well, and as a result, they were forced to return and produce a sequel, which was the thing that ultimately put everything right. And then there was another sequel to the sequel.

He continued by saying, “This was, I think, a tried and true test vehicle, if you will, for what happens when we do reboots, and what happens when we go back to the original concept that people like, which is seeing the characters that they love, that they grew up with, and what happens to those characters in the future development of those stories.”

“I believe that is what the majority of people are hoping to see. Further, Feldman said, “I am in agreement with that.”

The film chronicles the tale of a pair of brothers, Corey Haim and Jason Patric, who relocate to a tiny town in Northern California with their mother, who is portrayed by Dianne Wiest. Feldman, Kiefer Sutherland, and the late Corey Haim all have roles in the film. As a result of their parents’ divorce, their family is meant to be able to start over, but things take a sinister turn when they find out that their new beachfront property is really a hunting area for vampires.

There was a sequel to the film that was released in 2008, which included both Feldman and Haim, and a third installment that was published in 2010, however all of these films were released direct to video, and they did not fulfill the “thirst” of fans for a sequel that featured a significant portion of the original cast.

Although the actor who played the Goonies has said that he is not interested in a remake, he does have an idea for a “proper” sequel under his sleeve. Feldman has stated that he has been working on this specific concept for quite some time.

“I really hope that there will be a genuine sequel to Lost Boys. In point of fact, there is one that I have been thinking about for a very long time, and if I had the financial means and the backing, it is the particular thing that we would be doing. “But unfortunately, it has never been made, and it has been sitting on my shelf for a considerable amount of time,” Feldman said during the conversation.

When asked about the forthcoming musical that would be directed by Michael Arden, Feldman expressed his want to see it.

“I believe that there is the potential for a ton of fun to be had there. I am aware that Richard Donner had been expressing his desire to create a musical for a considerable amount of time, and that was really one of his ideas. Therefore, I feel that this is a further development of that idea that they have now developed further,” Feldman said.

He proceeded by saying, “I know G Tom Mac actually had some concepts of his own, and he was trying to make a musical out of Lost Boys for many, many years,” referring to the singer of “Cry Little Sister,” whose song serves as the title track for the film. “I know that G Tom Mac attempted to make a musical out of Lost Boys for many, many years.” “I’m not sure if they’ve included some of his music in the soundtrack for this or not, of if this is a completely separate idea, but I do know that this has been something a long time in the making and a long time coming.”

In reference to the concept of a remake, Feldman, whose much anticipated picture The Birthday is scheduled to be released this summer, said, “Let’s not mess with the original.” Many people adore it because of what it was. When it comes to the art that we like, let us continue to uphold concepts that are both truthful and charity-oriented.

It was quite the honor for the lifetime actor, who stated that ever since the show’s inception, viewers and judges alike have guessed his name as one of the many masked performers to grace the stage over the years. Despite the fact that The Masked Singer was a significant departure for Feldman from films such as The Lost Boys and The Goonies, it was a fun experience that was just right.

“Since the show has begun, somebody has guessed Corey Feldman,” he said to reporters. A new season would begin at the beginning of each season. Then, I would start receiving tweets and messages. I would also start receiving texts. I keep seeing articles in my Google News feed that say things like, “Corey Feldman was getting guessed last night again on the show.” And I’m thinking to myself, “What is this show that has costumes that are so ridiculous?” What exactly is this stuff?’

After that, Feldman stated, “…I think it kind of became par for the course, where I was expecting to hear from season to season what I was this time.” Feldman had not seen the program before he was invited to go on it.

Feldman said that it made him feel good that people were thinking about him and his singing abilities while they were making their predictions, despite the fact that he had been in Hollywood since he was nothing more than a child.

“You know me first as an actor, and there’s a lot of talented and award-winning singers on that show, so I did take it as an honor that they were even thinking of me in the first place,” Feldman gushed before touching on the heartwarming reception he received from viewers after he was unmasked on Wednesday. “Everyone knows me as an actor,” Feldman said. “It was amazing to see that people were appreciating me for my talent, and as a singer.”

“… You don’t know if they’re ever saying it to be nice — so when you get to see people talking nicely about you simply because they don’t know it’s you, it really changes your perspective on things,” he explained. “… You don’t know if they’re ever saying it to be nice.” Consequently, it was both humbling and eye-opening at the same time, and I believe it was the aspect of this that was the most personally fulfilling.
