“I had no connection with anyone who had really been a part of the system, and I was curious, why was she in that situation? Was it a lack of a good attorney? I literally was so naive to everything in the system, but I wanted to help,” Kardashian said when she accepted her award. She was referring to the motivation that led her to begin her work in the field of criminal reform.
