Is it too soon to start thinking about that holiday season? Not at all! When Lacey Chabert is involved, the answer is no.

The actress and Kristoffer Polaha, who is also a fan favorite on the Hallmark Channel, are working together for the very first time on their next Christmas movie, The Christmas Quest, which will be released in Iceland shortly after filming has been completed there.

The performers released a video that was taken in an ice cave on social media on Tuesday, April 16, to give fans a sneak peek at their next film. “This would be a really cool place to film a Hallmark Christmas movie, wouldn’t it?” Polaha, who is 47 years old, muses.

Chabert, who is 41 years old, reacts with a cheeky grin while looking directly into the camera and saying, “Really cool.”

During the course of the film, Chabert plays the role of an archeologist who, in order to seek for a famous treasure, is sent to Iceland around the time of the holidays with her ex-husband, played by Polaha, who is experts in old Norse languages. According to the publishing company, “when others join in the hunt, the pair find themselves swept into a thrilling adventure as they race to keep it from falling into the wrong hands.”

“Lacey and Kristoffer are at their charming best together and are the perfect pair to take viewers on this journey,” said Samantha DiPippo, senior vice president of development and programming at Hallmark Media, in a statement. “They are the perfect pair to tell this story.”

Later on in this year, The Christmas Quest is scheduled to make its debut as a part of the 15th annual Countdown to Christmas programming event that will be shown on Hallmark Channel.

With the films A Merry Scottish Christmas (Chabert’s film with her Party of Five costar Scott Wolf) and A Biltmore Christmas (Polaha’s film costarring Bethany Joy Lenz), Chabert and Polaha were the driving forces behind two of the highest-rated cable movies of 2023.

In 2024, Hallmark is expanding its choice of Christmas movies, and this is not the only one on the list. Santa Tell Me, which stars Erin Krakow and Daniel Lissing from When Calls the Heart, and The Finnish Line, which is set in Finland and stars Kim Matula, Beau Mirchoff, and Nichole Sakura, are two such examples of good news that have been reported in the past.
