Vanessa and Kobe were married from the year 2001 until the year 2020, when he passed away.
A reminder is being sent to the public by Vanessa Bryant that today is the anniversary of her and Kobe Bryant’s wedding.
On Thursday, Vanessa posted a photo on Instagram in honor of the occasion that would have been the 23rd wedding anniversary of her and the late NBA star.
“Happy Anniversary @kobebryant ❤️ #23,” The photo was captioned by Vanessa, who is 41 years old, and his name was Tony! You, Toni! This festive smash by Toné! is titled “Anniversary.”
In the post that Vanessa made, she included a collage of vintage images that featured her and Kobe showing some public displays of affection.
Emojis depicting a red heart were submitted by a number of Vanessa’s prominent friends in the comments section. These friends included Jessica Alba, Lisa Leslie, and Ciara.
A whirlwind relationship led to the wedding of Vanessa and Kobe, which took place in a small, private ceremony. Natalia, Gianna, Bianka, and Capri were the four children that the couple had together before they divorced. In a helicopter accident that occurred in the year 2020, the couple’s second-oldest daughter, Gianna, passed away with her father.
In the wake of her husband’s passing, Vanessa has continued to commemorate several milestones in their relationship, including their anniversary and Gianna’s birthday. Vanessa continued a custom that her husband had established for their girls on Valentine’s Day, which was observed in the month of February.
On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, Natalia posted a photo of a bouquet of flowers that had been delivered to her by her mother on behalf of her father on her Instagram Story.
“Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day, Natalia! A message with the words “Love you to the moon and back, Love Daddy” was written.
With the message “Thanks Mommy,” Natalia accompanied the slide.
During the same month, Vanessa, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri were all present at Crypto.com Arena, which was formerly known as the Staples Center and will forever be known as The House That Kobe built. This is the location where a statue of the late Los Angeles Lakers legend was erected in the Star Plaza, which is located outside of the arena in downtown Los Angeles.
Several notable people in Kobe’s life, including as his wife, former coach Phil Jackson, NBA great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, former player Derek Fisher, veteran analyst Stu Lantz, and Lakers president Jeanie Buss, gave comments at the event that was attended by a large number of celebrities.
When Vanessa entered the stage at the conclusion of the event, she disclosed that the monument was one of three that would be erected in honor of her husband.
The fact that today is a very sad day for us is something that should go without saying… I want to express my gratitude to each and every one of you for coming here and for demonstrating your love for Kobe and our family,” she said. “This moment isn’t just for Kobe, it’s for all of you, who have been rooting for him all these years.”
When Vanessa was speaking to the gathering, she revealed that the position was one that her husband had chosen before he passed away.
“If anyone has any issues with the pose that you are about to see, it’s tough s**t,” Vanessa remarked with a giggle. “Kobe chose the pose that you are about to see.” “It is what it is.”
