“I wasn’t flexing or anything, and I didn’t really think about it,” the 78-year-old man said. “But it’s nice to be noticed.”

These days, Ernie Hudson is demonstrating that age is nothing more than a number.

The Quantum Leap actor, who is 78 years old, became a viral phenomenon after strolling the red carpet for the premiere of Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. More specifically, his biceps have been the focus of attention.

“I was actually a little embarrassed with the T-shirt, but my jacket had a smudge on it,” he stated to Men’s Health. “It was a little embarrassing.”

“I wasn’t flexing or anything other than that, and I didn’t really give it much thought. But it is gratifying to be recognized. In a number of different ways, it is flattering. In contrast, when the subject of age is brought up, people say things like, “Oh, we’re surprised you’re still alive!” When asked about it, he said, “It would be nice if they said I was sexy and then said I’m 78.”

Hudson, who is 78 years old, walked the red carpet in March wearing jeans and a black T-shirt that was tailored to suit him. His biceps were very much on display, and he seemed to have larger biceps than the bulk of people’s grandfathers.

He argued that his biceps have always been there, despite the fact that the general public has now shown a lot of love for Hudson.

Considering that this is the fifth Ghostbusters film, it is a little bit peculiar. In an interview with Men’s Health, he said, “I’ve been doing this for well over 50 years, and those same arms have been there all the time.” He attributed his wide shoulders to his initial profession, which consisted of shoveling dirt.

According to the actor, who is also renowned for his roles in The Hand That Rocks the Cradle and Miss Congeniality, he has seen an excessive number of his friends placed limitations on themselves as they have grown older.

It was claimed by him that “their discipline changes.” They have the misconception that they are able to say anything they want and act in a jerklike manner, or that they do not have to take as much responsibility. They believe that they have to do less physical tasks, and as a result, they perform fewer tasks. And in the end, you wind up reducing yourself; you have no purpose in life. On the other hand, I do not believe that it is even remotely related to your age. It is possible that there may come a day when I will be unable to accomplish as much as I used to; we are all growing older, and these bodies aren’t made to endure, but there is no use in trying to hurry up this process, or using it as an excuse to be reckless or lazy.

while he reached 70, he noticed a difference in his physique, despite the fact that he did not see any changes in his physical appearance while he was in his fifties or sixties. It was said that he was “visited by Mr. Jiggles,” which is his nickname for the unexpected appearance of belly fat.

The practice of fasting did not eliminate Mr. Jiggles. You should know that he merely hung in there, and what’s more, he chats to you at night. The words “We need to eat something” are hushed by him. And all of a sudden, I am giving Mr. Jiggles some food. At some point in the last several years, I had the notion, “I really ought to go to the gym.”

That being said, the veteran actor is not letting the current feedback to his body distract him from his aims and thinking, which is a reference to Dick Clark’s experience with growing older.

“He always had a stunning appearance. When I first saw him, he seemed to be a constant adolescent. However, one day, he stopped looking like that. And we have no idea what the future has in store for us,” he said. “It’s possible that I’ll wake up one day, but who knows about that? Therefore, I am not concerned with attaining the longest potential lifespan. I simply want to live a life that is as full and complete as I possibly can, to make the most of the time I have, to live a worthy life, and to serve as an example of what God is capable of doing.
