After sustaining a catastrophic brain injury in December, the 29-year-old has miraculously recovered from his condition at this point.

Hayley Erbert has triumphantly returned to the stage after a long absence. On Sunday night, the professional dancer, who is 29 years old, danced with her husband, Derek Hough, as part of his Symphony of Dance tour. She became overcome with emotion when she earned a standing ovation from the crowd.

The significant event takes place just four months after Erbert was sent to the hospital for treatment of a serious brain injury.

As the crowd celebrates, Erbert can be seen standing among her fellow dancers in a video that was uploaded to TikTok and capturing the last moments of the concert. Following that, Hough takes a few steps back to show his appreciation for his wife, and the other artists do the same. During the standing ovation, Erbert wipes her eyes and touches her hands to her chest. She also touches her hands to her chest.

“Went in as a fan of Derek Hough and came out as a bigger fan of Hayley,” the audience member commented over the video and posted it on the website.

Lindsay Arnold, a professional dancer who previously competed on Dancing With the Stars, was one of the commentators who gushed over Erbert, saying, “You are the strongest and most inspiring person I know.”

After being put on hold in December owing to Erbert’s health concerns, the Derek Hough: A Symphony of Dance tour just began its journey in Melbourne, Florida, on April 14th.

After becoming “disoriented” while performing in Washington, District of Columbia, Erbert was taken to the hospital urgently on December 6th. This necessitated an immediate craniectomy since she was diagnosed with a cerebral hematoma that was caused by a ruptured blood vessel. Because of that damage, she finally had yet another invasive and excruciating surgical procedure, which resulted in the replacement of a significant piece of her skull.

Erbert wowed on the red carpet with Hough, showing off her new pixie cut, as they celebrated the official launch of Hulu on Disney+. The event comes less than two weeks after Erbert’s appearance on the celebrity red carpet.

In February, Hough gave an interview to ET in which he discussed the recovery of his wife. When asked about Hayley’s readiness to physically continue performing, he said that it was “too early to tell” at the moment.

“Her presence will always be there,” he assured her of.

He mocked her by saying, “She is very stubborn.” “In the best possible way.”

Erbert “handled everything with such grace and strength,” according to Hough, who also expressed his admiration for the manner in which Erbert handled things.

He gushed, “That’s just her nature,” and he was right. “It was incredible.”

Regarding Symphony of Dance, Hough said that he was completely overcome with “a sense of gratitude to be back on that stage.”

“I really feel like the show we had and will have is so strong,” he said candidly. “What I particularly like is that you get a clear picture of the interaction that exists between the dancers and the band. Every single one of us here on stage.”

On top of that, Hough said that a few of the dancers went above and above to ensure that they were accessible for the rescheduled rehearsals.

“You do realize that this wasn’t planned? The explanation that he provided was that we had no intention of going out again. It was already established that they had some tasks and certain items under contract. However, I picked up the phone and informed them that we were going to head back out. “Are you free at this time?” It was then that they informed me, “You know, actually, I have another gig, but I’m going to find [a] sub for that, and we’re going to go finish this thing.”

A video of Erbert’s rehearsals was posted on her Instagram page last week, which served as a teaser for her upcoming comeback to the stage.

“What a blessing (and surprise) it is to be able to be back on stage dancing with my love after such a crazy past four months,” she wrote in her journal. “My path to recovery has been nothing short of remarkable, and the fact that I am now able to dance again is kindling my spirit in every manner, which is speeding up my rehabilitation even more. I would want to express my gratitude to the medical professionals who have encouraged me to try dancing once again, as well as to the group of experts who have been put together to ensure that my health and safety are of the utmost importance. This concert is something that I cannot wait for you all to watch! When we first opened our doors a year ago, it was a very significant event; but, today, with all that has transpired, it is genuinely much more significant.
