On the occasion of her father’s birthday, Lindsay Lohan toasted her on-screen father, Dennis Quaid.
In an interview with E! News, the actor of Parent Trap said that Lohan, who is 37 years old and portrayed his twin daughters Hallie Parker and Annie James in the 1998 adaptation of the classic family comedy, was one of the many loved ones who sent him a greeting on April 9th, the day he turned 70 years old.
“She sent a video wishing me a happy birthday yesterday,” he told the site on April 10, looking back on what he believes his Parent Trap character would be doing now. He also reflected on what he thinks his character would be doing today.
He remarked, “I guess he’d be sipping some of the wine out of his vineyard,” and went on to say that in a perfect world, Nick Parker would still be with Hallie and Annie’s mother, wedding dress designer Elizabeth James (who was portrayed by the late actress Natasha Richardson).
Dear Natasha, may God bless her. She has been gone from our lives for about ten years, and we miss her tremendously. As Quaid said to E! News, “What a beautiful, beautiful woman, and what a wonderful person.”
On Thursday, April 11, the actor gave an exclusive interview to PEOPLE at CinemaCon 2024, which took place at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. In the interview, he discussed the origins of the video messages that were sent by loved ones.
I had the impression that it was going to be successful,” the star of Strays said. “And so I wanted to be kind of low-key.”
“[My wife, Laura Savoie] got a whole bunch of my friends to do videos of, you know, talking about me,” he said. “It was incredible.” Moreover, it was really great. Do you remember the part in Huckleberry Finn when they travel back in time and suddenly find themselves attending their own funeral?

“That’s what it was like, and it was really wonderful and sweet,” Quaid added. “It was really nice and sweet.” “You get a genuine sense of my life and the people I call friends. And this is actually how wealthy you are, I mean, you feel really rich with, it’s all about the connections you have in your life and the memories you have.
During an interview with E! News, Quaid recalled a time when he had the opportunity to collaborate with the Mean Girls actor when he was a youngster.
Oh my goodness, I couldn’t believe it when she showed up for the screening exam. I suppose she was 11 years old. According to what he stated of Lohan, “She just had such control over her talent and what she was doing and during the shooting portion of the project.”
It was her ability to convince me that there were two females. following that, he continued, reminiscing on her performance in The Parent Trap, in which she portrayed two twins who did not know one other but contrived to exchange places and bring their divorced parents back together following a fortuitous encounter at summer camp. “She was completely fearless,” he said, referring to her portrayal in the film.
