Pumpkin states, “If my math is right, it’s a lot of money,” as she gets ready to meet Mama June. She then goes on to describe her backup plan in the event that her mother does not want to listen to her.
The financial conflict that Mama June Shannon and her daughters are engaged in continues to this day.
In a sneak look at the episode of Mama June: Family Crisis that will air this week, her daughter Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird can be seen getting ready to confront her mother about the fact that she used Honey Boo Boo’s money from Dancing with the Stars and The Masked Singer.
In the past, both of her daughters had questioned her when they found out that Alana’s Coogan account only had $33,000, which was a much lower amount than what they had anticipated it would be. June’s response was that a significant portion of the funds were allocated for tax purposes, however she also admitted that the funds were used to purchase a home.
Josh, Lauryn’s husband, is shown in the new tape telling his wife that June was probably not “going to listen to anything you have to say.” Pumpkin, however, was not deterred by this set of circumstances. She said that even if June does not listen, her husband Justin “will and Justin will see the facts.”
As a result of the fact that viewers have previously seen Justin attempting to talk some sense into June about the matter, it is possible that Lauryn and Alana might benefit from having him on their side.
Pumpkin provided an explanation on the preparations that she made for her meeting with their mother when Lauryn’s sister Jessica visited her at her residence.
The topic of money is something I would want to discuss with her. I stayed up all night, and I was able to get everything in black and white, including bank statements, tax documents, and contracts. Lauryn said, “If my calculations are correct, it is a significant amount of money.”
Following Jessica’s statement that their mother most likely would not be interested in hearing it, she followed by saying, “She is not going to listen, but Justin will.” “This is the paperwork, you took the money, smoked it up, whatever you did with it.”
Pumpkin said that she did not want for the chat to become “a big old fight,” which Jessica had anticipated would occur throughout the call. Pumpkin continued by saying, “If she chooses to take that route, that’s on her,” referring to their mother. At that moment, Jessica and Justin made a hasty exit from the home before June arrived.
