There is no doubt that parents do all in their power to safeguard their children, and these parents went above and beyond to ensure the safety of their daughter. In April of 2021, in the United Kingdom, Vienna Brookshaw was born to her mother, Celine Casey. Austria was the country of birth. Upon her first encounter with Vienna, Casey saw a birthmark on her forehead, namely in the area between her eyebrows.
Vienna’s mother was concerned that the birthmark, which was a congenital melanocytic nevus (CMN), may cause her mental distress as she got older. However, the birthmark did not have any impact on Vienna’s physical health. CMN is a condition in which a newborn is born with a group of pigment cells that are not harmful, and it is possible that these pigment cells have expanded as Vienna has gotten older.
The disease that Vienna possesses is very uncommon, and no one could adequately estimate the extent to which the birthmark would expand as she grew older. In her childhood, Vienna’s mother, Casey, did not want her daughter to face any difficulties as a result of this condition.
Almost immediately, Casey spoke with the medical professionals about the birthmark and inquired if there was anything that they could do to treat it. If they did not remove it, she was concerned that Vienna could express her displeasure with her parents at some point in the future.
Casey, the loving mother, said that she and her family take pleasure in seeing her development along her path, and they eagerly anticipate the day when she would be able to articulate her own independent opinions. No matter what happened, we would still adore her, even if we had to keep the birthmark.
The fact that people would look at Vienna when she was a newborn was the reason why Casey wanted to get rid of the birthmark that she had on her own body. Casey became aware that when compared to other newborns, her kid was handled differently by other people. As a result, she became even more certain in her decision to get the birthmark removed.

In accordance with their standard practice, the National Health Service (NHS) declined the procedure since they do not do operations that are not essential to the physical well-being of an individual. They considered the operation to be nothing more than a cosmetic procedure.
Casey decided to launch a fundraising effort in order to acquire more funds for the surgical procedure from various sources. In just one day, kind individuals contributed a total of $52,000. It is unfortunate that this was not sufficient since the COVID-19 epidemic had caused a significant increase in the expenditures of hospitalization. When it came to the procedure, the young parents need an additional $27,000.
In order to meet the additional expenses associated with their daughter’s operation to remove the birthmark, they once again requested assistance via GoFundMe.
“Everyone has things in their body that they feel uncertain about,” the worried mother added. The physician said that it would not have any impact on Vienna’s mental health at this time. However, we did not perceive it in that light. She is about to start school at the age of three, and young children are very perceptive; they are aware of stuff like that.
At this point in time, Vienna is two years old, and her birthmark has been fully eradicated. On her forehead, there is a little scar that is the sole remaining indication. Her mother, Casey, provides monthly updates on her daughter’s progress in the healing process and often expresses her admiration for how “gorgeous” her daughter is.
In spite of the fact that they had removed the birthmark, Vienna’s parents traveled to London in order to have the surgeon examine the degree to which the little scar that had been left on her forehead had healed. In addition to the three operations and therapies that she had previously had, they wanted to be sure that she did not need any more. On the other hand, she is a healthy two-year-old and does not need any more medical attention at this time!
Greetings and best wishes are being sent to tiny Vienna from all of us. We look forward to her continued good health! Please do not hesitate to share this with others so that they may also learn about her experience.
