Two of the singer’s five children went on social media on Tuesday afternoon to express their own personal condolences to their mother.
During the celebration of their mother Diana Ross’s eightieth birthday, Tracee Ellis Ross and Evan Ross are showing her an unending amount of affection.
On Tuesday, two of Diana’s five children turned to Instagram to post love tributes to their mother on her special day. They wrote emotional words of joy and shared vintage images of the “I’m Coming Out” singer taking pictures from throughout her career.
“Have a wonderful week, Mom! There is no adequate way to convey the depth of my affection for you. You are everything in the world. Completely all that is. In every aspect 🖤🖤🖤🖤 I am grateful to you for empowering me with the power of love. Evan, who is 35 years old, writes.
In addition to the description, the youngest of Diana’s five children included a number of photographs of his mother, one of which depicts her cradling a younger version of him close to her bosom. Another image in the carousel depicts the gorgeous entertainment giant shining in more recent years and giving the camera duck lips. This picture is available for viewing.
As for Tracee, who is 51 years old, she has uploaded a video montage that is an enormous homage to her mother. The video montage displays “80 incredible pictures” of Diana in a span of 80 seconds. “If We Hold on Together” is undeniably one of Diana’s most iconic songs, and it serves as the soundtrack for the music video.
The actress from Black-ish expressed her excitement over the possibility of searching for information on her mother on Google, which included information that she was previously ignorant of.
“Did you know that from 1976 to 1985 (Rhonda was born ‘71, me ‘72, & Chudney ‘74), my mama @dianaross put out an album a year, did multiple tours, produced and starred in a variety of TV specials, shot Mahogany and The Wiz, produced her legendary 1983 Central Park concert with an estimated 800,000 attendees (when the first night of the show got rained out, she chose to pay for and re-do it the next night), left Motown, purchased an entire floor of a prestigious Fifth Avenue building, bought an estate outside of New York, and an office building where she manufactured Diana Ross Pantyhose and other merchandise, and other huge personal life moments?” Tracee’s caption should be read.
The relentlessness of Tracee’s mother, as well as the love and warmth that she and her siblings were gifted with on a daily basis, became something that Tracee came to adore.
“[S]he was also waking us up for school (she is the best waker-upper), having family dinner and bath time, recording while we slept, planning our birthday parties, play dates, doctor’s appointments, settling arguments between siblings…you know, all the mom stuff,” she said in her long description accompanying the photo. She made us, her children, her first priority at all times, even while she was smashing records, breaking glass ceilings, and establishing a new standard for elegance and luxury. However, despite the fact that “Diana Ross,” the cherished worldwide icon, is legendary, she is not even close to being able to compete with my mother.
1972 was the year that Diana gave birth to Tracee. The first kid that Diana ever had was her oldest daughter, Rhonda, who she gave birth to only one year earlier. Diana was married to Robert Ellis Silberstein at the time, and he was the one who brought up Rhonda as if she were his own. Her real father, the famed music mogul Berry Gordy, was Rhonda’s biological father. Chudney, Tracee’s younger sister, was subsequently welcomed into the world by Diana and Robert. The next year, Diana tied the knot with Arne Naess Jr., a Norwegian businessman, and together they became parents to two boys, Ross and Evan.

The momentous occasion of Diana’s birthday occurs during the same week that it was reported that the Michael Jackson biopic, which will simply be named Michael, has completed the casting of its cast as it prepares to begin production.
Lionsgate made the announcement on Monday that the movie has cast the historically significant parts of Diana, who will be represented by Kat Graham, who previously appeared on The Vampire Diaries. Additionally, the studio made the announcement that it has cast the parts of Quincy Jones, Gladys Knight, and La Toya Jackson, in addition to the most renowned producers and executives in the industry, Berry Gordy and Dick Clark.
A number of Hollywood big hitters will play the roles of Jackson’s friends and family members in the film Michael, which will be directed by Antoine Fuqua, written by John Logan, who was nominated for an Academy Award, and produced by the same team that was responsible for Bohemian Rhapsody. Jaafar Jackson, who is Jackson’s nephew in real life, will play the title character.
