The first version of the picture, which was released in 2006, included Jesse Metcalfe, Sophia Bush, Arielle Kebbel, Ashanti, and Brittany Snow.
As a result of the fact that a sequel to John Tucker Must D.i.e is now being developed, it is time to return to Forest Hills High School.
According to Sophia Bush, Arielle Kebbel, and Jesse Metcalfe, three of the actors who appeared in the first film, a story has been developed for a sequel. This comes almost 18 years after the first film was released in cinemas.
The three actors recently addressed speculations and aspirations of a sequel during a panel that took place at a fan expo in Chicago. It was during this panel when the 45-year-old former cast member of Desperate Housewives said that a new movie is now in the preliminary phases of development.
“I’ve heard rumors of this script — there’s a script,” Metcalfe said to his admirers in a video that was uploaded to TikTok. “Apparently, it’s amazing.”
In addition, he said that despite the fact that he has not previously seen the screenplay, he would “absolutely love to be a part of it.”

The first version of the movie was released in 2006, and it had Ashanti, Penn Badgley, and Brittany Snow among its cast members. Throughout the course of the film, three young women, Heather (played by Ashanti), Beth (played by Bush), and Carrie (played by Kebbel), come to the realization that they are all dating the same man, John Tucker (played by Metcalfe). With the intention of exacting revenge on him, the three adolescents join forces with the new girl at the school, Kate (Snow), in order to publicly humiliate him for cheating on all of them. Metcalfe’s role is played by Badgley, who portrays Scott Tucker, the geeky and adorable sibling of the character.
Following Metcalfe’s confirmation to those in attendance on Sunday that there are, in fact, plans in place to get the group back together for another movie, Kebbel, who is 39 years old, jumped in and said that she had seen the screenplay and that it “does involve all of the original cast.”
She went on to say that the sly character played by Metcalfe “may or may not get a chance to change,” and that the possibility of this happening might be “very exciting.”
“Do I get a chance to wear a thong again?” In his response, Metcalfe made a reference to a famous scene from the first film, in which his character manages to make boys who are wearing thongs appear cool. This was much to the dismay of the girls who were attempting to embarrass him.
“We wanted to talk to you about that,” Kebbel joked in response to one of the participants. In fact, we were under the impression that you would really create your own brand and promote it. It would be a complete event.”
I’m here to witness it. Metcalfe answered, “I can’t wait to unleash this dad bod so that it can be seen on the big screen.”
Hundreds of ecstatic fans expressed their delighted reaction to the news in the comments section of the video. They also expressed their hope that the sequel would be given the go-ahead and that all of the original cast members will be back.
“Screaming, crying, and throwing up,” wrote one ecstatic supporter (fan).
