Late in the year 2023, Isabella started receiving therapy for a brain tumor.
In a new video blog that she put together in advance of her second round of chemotherapy, Isabella Strahan is beaming with happiness.
On Thursday, the daughter of Michael Strahan, who is 19 years old, uploaded a new video on YouTube. In the video, she is seen being met by her twin sister, Sophia, upon her arrival to Duke University, where Sophia is enrolled.
At the Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center, which is situated on the Duke University campus in Durham, North Carolina, Isabella is now receiving therapy for medulloblastoma, a specific form of brain tumor. Because of its expertise in treating brain tumors and brain cancer, the hospital is considered to be among the finest in the nation.
She adds, “Just got to Duke because I have chemo on Monday, but we made it,” in the video. “We made it.” “Sophia just came to greet us.”

The next segment of the film shows Sophia and Isabella hanging out on campus, where they are seen eating Chick-fil-A together and watching a basketball game. At one point in the video blog, Isabella makes a humorous reference to her own school, the University of Southern California, despite the fact that her sister is a supporter of the Blue Devils.
Attending the Duke game! “Joy to you, Duke,” Isabella exclaims. Just fooling around! Keep fighting for your life, USC!
A brain tumor, which is a growth that occurs in the cerebellum, the region of the brain that is responsible for movement and coordination, was detected in Isabella when she was just a few months into her freshman year at the University of Southern California.
A visit to the nail salon with her twin sister and a visit with her father are two of the activities that Isabella highlights in the film as she continues to show off her experiences before her second round of chemotherapy.
After all is said and done, the movie concludes with Sophia resting on a bed nearby and Isabella laying in a hospital bed.
“It’s number two chemo… that means four to go!” In front of the camera, Isabella says. “That means that after this is over then there’s just four more months.”
Three months have passed since Isabella completed her first round of chemotherapy, which she filmed on YouTube and shared with her fans that it was a “painful” experience. The current round of chemotherapy is already underway.
My eyes are working quite hard. There was an earlier video in which she said that it was painful to gaze to the sides. It seems as if I have had a massive root canal performed on every single tooth in my mouth, and then it was taken out and not even medically replaced. My whole mouth feels like I have had this procedure done. As I take a swallow of water, I have pain in both my jaw and the base of my tongue.
Due to the significant impact that the chemotherapy session has had on her health, Isabella has stated that she “would prefer radiation” over chemotherapy. Adding, “And I did not like radiation,” she said.
A YouTube series was started by Isabella to capture her experience through the treatment process for cancer, which includes radiation therapy for a period of six weeks.
During the month of January, Isabella and Michael made a joint appearance on Good Morning America, where they were interviewed by Robin Roberts. The purpose of the interview was to make the news of her illness public.
Isabella said that she had first started experiencing symptoms at the beginning of October, and that she made the decision to have surgery to have the lump removed in the same month, just one day before she turned 19 years old.
She also disclosed earlier this month that she had to be hurried into emergency surgery due to a number of obstacles that were encountered throughout her treatment processes.
In the video, she explains, “I’ve just been getting a lot of fevers,” and she continues to do so. “If you get a fever over 100.4, you have to go in.”
Following a period of three days spent in the hospital, during which she had a blood transfusion, an MRI, and had her chemotherapy port cleaned, Isabella was finally released from the facility.
