The Nashville police have just revealed additional body camera video showing an officer engaging in a conversation with Riley Strain soon before the college student, who is now unaccounted for, was last seen.

Video evidence showing Strain’s “brief exchange of greetings” with Officer Reginald Young on Gay Street on March 8, the night the 22-year-old went missing, was published by the Metro Nashville Police Department on Monday.

According to authorities, Strain did not exhibit signs of concern upon encountering the officer who was present in the vicinity in response to a reported car burglary incident.

The video, which was disseminated on X, shows Strain traversing a sidewalk and presumably instigating the interaction with the law enforcement officer.

Young inquired of the student from the University of Missouri, “How are you faring, sir?” Strain said, “I am in good health, how are you?” Prior before departing.

According to the MNPD, Officer Young stayed on that specific section of Gay Street for almost 45 minutes.

The police did not provide the exact moment at which the tape was captured, but they restated that “no video has been found that depicts Riley leaving Gay St after 9:52 p.m..”

According to the MNPD, Strain’s parents had a meeting with a portion of the detective team on Sunday. During this meeting, they were provided with a comprehensive update on the ongoing efforts to locate their missing kid. Additionally, they were shown with pertinent video evidence.

According to the police department, there is currently no substantiated proof of any illicit activities while the search for Riley Strain continues.

The student was shown staggering along the road after being instructed to leave Luke Bryan’s 32 Bridge Food + Drink restaurant and bar, as evidenced by CCTV video recorded on March 8.

The Tennessee Alcoholic Beverage Commission is conducting an investigation to determine whether Strain was provided excessive amounts of alcohol prior to his disappearance. The TC Restaurant Group, the overseer of Bryan’s eatery, informed PEOPLE on Friday afternoon that it had furnished material to assist police.

“According to our records, Riley bought and was given one alcoholic beverage and two water during his visit to Luke’s 32 Bridge,” the statement said. At 9:35 p.m., the security crew used our established behavior rules to determine the appropriate course of action, which included escorting the individual out the venue via the Broadway exit located at the front of our building. One member of his party followed him down the stairs. The person accompanied by Riley did not leave and went back to the upper level.

The statement sent by the TC Restaurant Group ended by expressing their continued prayers for the well-being of Riley’s friends and family during this challenging period, as well as for his safe return.

Police made an announcement over the weekend about the recovery of Strain’s bank card, which was located on an embankment next to the Cumberland River on Sunday. Nevertheless, they said that no definitive proof has been detected in the water.

The pursuit of Strain and the inquiry into his vanishing are now under progress.
