In order to make the emergency contraception available to her fans, the artist collaborated with a number of groups that advocate for reproductive rights.

Abortion rights are something that Olivia Rodrigo is in favor of. During the most recent stop of her Guts World Tour, which took place in St. Louis, Missouri, the singer, who is 21 years old, provided her fans with free access to emergency contraception supplies. The decision was made following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and after access to abortion was restricted in a number of states, including Missouri.

A snapshot of the package that she got was shared by a fan who was there at the event. Not only did guests get two supplies of emergency contraception, but they also got a sticker that carried the number for Right By You, which is a text message service that allows individuals to locate abortion treatment.

Additionally, it had a QR code that directed supporters to a website where they could make a gift to the Missouri Abortion Fund. The page featured wording that said, “Funding abortion? I believe that it is an excellent concept. The statement was a reference to Rodrigo’s song “Bad Idea Right?” which can be found on her album Guts for those who are interested.

Another tweet highlighted the locations where the things could be purchased by the fans. Signs with the words “Help us fund abortion” were placed on the table. In the song “It’s brutal out here,” as well as in the song “We would be happier if you followed us,” Rodrigo makes allusions to the songs “Brutal” and “Happier” that are included on her first album, Sour.

This effort is a part of Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good, which is dedicated to constructing a future that is fair and just for women and girls. This is accomplished by providing direct funding to community-based non-profit organizations that advocate for girls’ education, promote reproductive rights, and prevent gender-based violence within their communities.

For the dates of her tour that took place in North America, Rodrigo collaborated with the National Network of Abortion Funds, an organization whose mission is to create a society in which all reproductive choices are respected, accessible, and stigma-free.

“Supporting abortion funds has never been more critical, in an era where abortion access is under relentless attack,” Oriaku Njoku, the executive director of the National Network for Abortion Fund (NNAF), made this comment in a statement to USA Today. “We are excited to be in partnership with Olivia Rodrigo, as she’s uplifting the critical work of abortion funds, and leading (her fans) into the movement towards reproductive freedom!”
