According to accounts from the area, a waiter arrived with what the visitors were informed was a palette cleanser consisting of sugar and ice. However, it turned out that the waiter had really brought dry ice, which caused the diners to experience acute burning.

Immediately after placing the dry ice in their mouths, they allegedly began bleeding and vomiting in excruciating agony, washing their mouths out with water and spitting all over the floor. The effects seemed to take effect almost immediately. During the meal, one individual was vomiting up all of his food onto the ground.

In the end, the cameraman who was responsible for documenting all of this did not wind up taking any of the dry ice himself. He was saved, but only because he was carrying one of their children, so he was fortunate. Regrettably, the other adults in his party did, in fact, take it, and they endured a great deal of suffering as a result.

In the end, the party was hurried to a hospital, where they remained for two days in order to get medical treatment. The manager of the restaurant was taken into custody, and the owner, who is said to be on the run, is still being sought by law enforcement. This was an expensive error for the eatery. The authorities are asserting that this was a direct case of poisoning.

Ingestion of dry ice has the potential to be lethal; yet, thankfully, these individuals are said to be in stable condition at this time. The management is being described as stating that the staff somehow slipped ice into the mix by mistake, and that it was an accident. It is unclear what precisely led to the mix-up, but the manager is being quoted as saying that it has happened.
