At the NFL combine, Tyler Owens is the favorite to record the quickest time in the 40-yard dash. However, the football player who graduated from Texas Tech is making news for his statements that he has made off the field.

In an interview with media that took place on Thursday in Indianapolis, the defensive back provided an uncommon perspective on his position in the globe.

“I don’t believe in space,” Owens, who is 22 years old, said in a video that was uploaded to X by Brent Sobleski of Bleacher Report. “Because I am a very religious person, I believe that we are by ourselves at this moment. When it comes to other planets and other things like that, I don’t believe there are any.

“I thought I used to believe in the heliocentric thing where we used to revolve around the sun and stuff,” he said. “I just thought I was wrong.” After that, however, I began seeing things about the flat earth, and I thought to myself, “This is kind of interesting.” As soon as they began bringing up solid arguments, I was like, “I don’t know, it could be real, it couldn’t be.”

During the time that Owens was pondering the cosmos, he also forecasted for himself that he would complete the 40-yard sprint on Friday with a tremendous performance.

A resident of Plano, Texas, reportedly informed reporters that his time “should be in the 4.2s somewhere,” as reported by Bleacher Report.
