The late Toby Keith is being honored by Krystal Keith, who is paying homage to him.
On Friday, Krystal, who is 38 years old, uploaded a series of photographs consisting of Toby on her Instagram account. In the caption, she expressed her profound sorrow for the passing of her father.
I am completely broken. As impressive as he was in his professional life, he was even more remarkable in his roles as a father, a spouse, and a Pop Pop. This is what she had to say about Toby in the caption: “He was my hero.”
She continued by enumerating the reasons why she is thankful for the time she was able to spend with her father, who passed away on Monday at the age of 62 due to stomach cancer, which he had been diagnosed with two and a half years before.
Before getting married and having two girls of her own, Krystal attempted a career in country music, much as her father had done. She also had two daughters of her own.
“I am so thankful that he was able to walk me down the aisle and meet my children on my wedding day. I am so fortunate to have had him.” “That I have memories of years spent traveling the world with my family,” she said in her writing. Having the opportunity to spend years going on the road and performing on stage with him is a blessing that I am grateful for. I have a mountain of video material and an infinite number of tracks of music that I can use to observe him and listen to his voice.
Krystal further said, “I’m lucky I got to say goodbye and tell him what he meant to me.”
The singer who is well known for her hit song “Daddy Dance with Me” went on to express her gratitude for the several other tributes that were paid to him, which she expressed the hope that she would one day experience.

“There has been an enormous outpouring of love and parts commemorating him that I hope to be able to see and appreciate whenever I am allowed to do so in the future. The fact that he was honored by such a large number of individuals and networks serves as a reminder that he was not just ours. The world belonged to him. As a family, we were able to give the world a gift in the form of him, and he did not waste the time that we gave up to be with him. Through his life, he had a hundred lives filled with achievements and an effect on the lives of others.
Krystal continued by saying, “There is a great deal that he did for other people that no one, including us, was aware of.” The only reason he performed good things was because his heart drove him to do them or because someone else required him to do them. He did not seek recognition for his actions.
When Krystal was nearing the conclusion of her tenure, she said that she would always make an effort to remember Toby.
“The grief is so tremendously deep, and it seems like I have an actual shattered heart. However, I am aware that it would not hurt as much if we did not love him and if we hadn’t had the opportunity to be loved by him to such a profound degree. I never once had any reason to question whether or not he would be there for me,” she added.
“Love YOU more, dad. XO,” Krystal wrote as a closing thought to her post.

After adopting Shelley, Lucus’ daughter from a prior relationship, Krystal is Toby’s second daughter with his wife Tricia Lucus. Krystal is Toby’s second daughter with Tricia Lucus. They are also the parents of Stelen, who is 26 years old and paid homage to his father on Thursday. Stelen is the son of the country musician and Lucus. His only kid, Krystal, has chosen to take his stage name, Keith, which is also his middle name. This is despite the fact that the family’s actual last name is Covel.
In 2004, she was featured on her father’s song “Mockingbird,” and the two of them performed the song at the Country Music Awards. This was the beginning of her career in the music industry.
2013 saw the release of Whiskey & Lace, Krystal’s only studio album at this point in her career.
The aforementioned song, “Daddy Dance with Me,” was written by her expressly for the purpose of her father-daughter dance with Toby during her wedding to Andrew Sandubrae in the year 2010.
This Instagram tribute features the couple’s two daughters, Kirby and Hensley, who are shown enjoying time with Toby. The couple has two children together.
