Fans were taken aback by the fact that the former members of the franchise married the knot in Puerto Rico, with their ceremony taking place in Paradise.
For a very long time, Mari Pepin and Kenny Braasch were already married before the fans found out about it. During the grand finale of the ninth season of Bachelor in Paradise, which took place on Thursday, the pair, who had first met during the seventh season of the reality program, stunned the single contestants by coming up on the beach and saying that they wanted to be married later that day.
Fans of Bachelor Nation were taken aback by the discovery since the couple had previously tied the knot in Puerto Rico in November, and they had thought that the wedding was the first time the couple had ever exchanged vows after becoming married.
In actuality, however, the couple tied the knot on the beaches of Mexico over the summer. The ceremony was presided over by Jesse Palmer, who was also the emcee of the event. Wells Adams was in charge of carrying the bouquets and the rings, while Blake Moynes was the best man for Kenny.
My recollection of our first minutes in paradise is clear. The first time I saw you was while I was watching you go down the stairs. I will never forget that picture. In the vows that Kenny took to Mari, he expressed his belief that “something told me that we would end up together during that very moment.” “I know it wasn’t that simple because this is Paradise and nothing in Paradise is simple.”

Since we left Paradise, we have spent every single day together, practically every single day. “As we continued to spend time together, I found that my feelings for you grew stronger and stronger,” he added. “I solemnly swear that for the rest of our lives, I will never move from your side, no matter what… I already adore you and will continue to do so forever, and I am certain that we will be the best team the world has ever seen working together.
“When you asked me to marry you right on this beach, it was the surest yes I have ever said,” Mari remarked in her vows, demonstrating the same level of romanticism that she had shown throughout her whole life. As I stand here once again now, I am still feeling the same level of certainty that I felt back then.
It’s wonderful that we are able to be patient and understanding with one another. “I really do love how sweet and loving and really gentle you really are on the inside, despite the fact that you might look all big and tough on the outside,” she remarked. “I really do do love you.” “I solemnly swear that from this day forward, and for the rest of my life, I will devote every single one of my efforts to ensuring that our marriage remains strong and healthy. From this day forward until the end of time, I solemnly swear to love you without wavering, without exception, and through everything; the good days, the terrible days, rain or shine.
The happy pair became one of the Bachelor in Paradise’s success stories when Jesse announced that they were married. Jesse proclaimed them to be husband and wife shortly after that.
