A guy named Jesús Aceves, who is affectionately known as “The Wolf Man,” has endured a significant amount of hardship throughout his whole life. He is the second member of his family to be diagnosed with a rare ailment known as hypertrichosis. This meant that practically his whole body, including his face, was covered in hair. His face was specifically covered.

When he eventually had a family, he sought a regular work so that he could be closer to them, and he made the decision to shave his face in order to achieve this goal. He became a circus attraction at a very early age due to his attractive appearance.

There are around thirty members of his family who also suffer from the same medical issue, as stated in a story that was published by the BBC in the year 2015.

In the early years of his life, Aceves resided in Loreto, Mexico; yet, due to his physical appearance, he was not accepted by the people there.

It was when he was just 12 years old that he began his career. He began his career by selling tickets for a Ferris wheel, and subsequently he worked at a gaming stand. His first job was selling tickets. During that time period, he was found by the proprietor of a circus.

When he was thirteen years old, he was presented with the opportunity to pursue a career in the circus with two of his relatives. The proprietor assured him that he would provide them with a place to live, food, and a high income. However, despite the fact that they have sufficient food and a decent place to reside, he disclosed that they are “always locked up.”

Regardless, he said that he did not have any regrets about working in the circus because it was a “decent job,” and he regarded himself to be an artist who amused others.

The situation did not go well when he had difficulties when going abroad for his profession and turned to alcohol as a means of coping with the feelings of isolation he experienced. He was fortunate enough to be able to escape that circumstance and make positive changes in his life.

In the documentary that was produced by A True Story, Jesús Aceves divulged personal and sensitive insights about his life. All three of his children, who were all suffering from the same disease as their father, were included in the film.

His eldest daughter, Karla, who was left behind by her mother, claimed that others would call her names and they would even urge their children not to be friends with her. Unfortunately, none of them were protected from the harsh reality and the rude statements from other people. Karla’s mother had left her behind.

She also said in the BBC piece that it is more difficult for her to be a woman because, as Eva Aridjis, a director, stated in the film “Chuy, The Wolf Man,” “it is less socially acceptable for a woman to be extremely hairy… It is estimated that the majority of women have been deserted by their non-hairy spouses who were the fathers of their children. When it comes to the guys, however, they are seen as being virile and have a tendency to have a large number of girlfriends.

As of the year 2015, Aceves’ daughter was living in Texas, which is located in the United States, as a single mother. This was due to the fact that the father abandoned her after she gave birth to their child.

Aceves intended to hunt for a respectable career that would not make him an attraction to the general public when he made the decision to take a break from his employment at the circus. However, due to the fact that he was physically attractive, it was not a simple task for him.

In the end, he and his wife came to an agreement that they would do something in order to find a solution to his issue, and that something was to shave his face.

The documentary titled “A True Story” had a scene in which he was shown having his face shaved by a barber. At the conclusion of the film, his dramatic metamorphosis was displayed, and he seemed to be a totally different person without hair covering the majority of his face. Regrettably, due to the nature of his ailment, it will be necessary to constantly monitor the development of his atypical hair.

Later on in the film, he was shown attending interviews for a variety of occupations; however, it was not obvious what position he ultimately ended up being hired for.
