It is expected that Ashley Cain will become a parent for the second time.
It has been discovered that the Challenge star, who is 33 years old, is expecting another kid. This news comes two years after the devastating loss of his daughter Azaylia Diamond, who was 8 months old and had leukemia, in 2021.
Cain revealed in a recent interview with The Sun on Sunday that he is expecting a boy with a lady whom he had dated earlier this year and whom he had known since he was 18 years old. Their relationship began earlier this year.
According to Cain, who spoke to the source, “I got a message saying that she needed to speak to me, so I went to see her, and she told me that she was pregnant — I can’t put into words how that felt.”
“After having Azaylia, I have come to the conclusion that I came on this world to fulfill the role of a parent. And then the idea of perhaps having another kid after having lost the first one was something that I found quite difficult to comprehend,” he said.
Furthermore, Cain said, “Even though the subsequent portion of my journey is going to be challenging, I have come to the realization that each and every child that is born into this world is a blessing.”
Persons did not get an instant response from a representative of Cain in response to their request for comment.
During the month of April 2021, the former cast member of Ex on the Beach broke the heartbreaking news that Azaylia had passed away on social media. The eight-month-old child had been diagnosed with “a very rare and aggressive form” of cancer in October of 2020. The disease had reappeared in February of 2021 after a stem-cell transplantation had been performed.
Azaylia was first diagnosed with leukemia at only two months old and Cain went on to narrate his experience in seeking possibly life-saving therapy for his newborn daughter on social media, giving frequent updates with his fans.
In an Instagram video that he posted at the beginning of April 2022, the former soccer star disclosed that his daughter was undergoing chemotherapy and that the treatment was “not working.” The video also stated that the doctors had identified malignant tumors throughout his daughter’s body. In addition, he indicated that it would no longer be able to get any additional therapy.
Later on in the same month, on April 25, he and Azaylia’s mother, Safiyya Vorajee, who had previously been his girlfriend, broke the heartbreaking news to each other that their daughter had passed away due to a fatal accident.
In his touching tribute on Instagram, he expressed his grief by writing, “Rest in Paradise Princess 👼🏼🌈 I will always hold you in my heart until I can hold you again in heaven ❤️😢 #AzayliaDiamondCain.”
In addition, Vorajee sent a heartfelt tribute on Instagram to her late daughter, which said, “You are my Angel, my heartbeat, my soul, RIP my precious baby, you will always be with me like a handprint on my heart.” Vorajee added that she would always remember her daughter.
Cain, who was obviously distraught, uploaded a clip from his interview with The Sun on his Instagram page. In the footage, he spoke about visiting Azaelia’s cemetery and thought on the kind of father he had hoped to be to her and, more importantly, wanted to be for his new kid.
I went down to her and had a conversation with her about it as the first thing that I did. Whenever I considered what my life might have been like if Azaelia had been a part of it, I always wished for things to be… to continue in the same manner that it had begun. In part, he added, “I wanted to be present in her life from the beginning.”
At a later time, he stated, “I always wanted to be there, by her side, regardless of the circumstances.” In addition, I want for her to have the ability to put her faith in me. It was important to me that she understands that I would always maintain the promise that I made to her, and now it is the same as before.
“When I found out, I went and spoke to Azaelia about it,” he said. “I believe that was a huge part that has allowed me to feel positive about it after that, I feel like she was the main person I needed to speak to,” he said. “I wanted to make sure that I was getting the most accurate information possible.”
In a different part of the interview, he said that he felt a sense of empowerment as a result of the event.
“After going to her resting place and speaking to her about it, I just had a feeling in my heart and in my soul that she was happy for me,” the star of “Ex on the Beach” stated. “It was as if she was happy for me.”
It was also “painful” for him to inform his ex-girlfriend Vorajee, whom he had split from in 2022 but has maintained a close relationship with, despite the fact that he is aware that she would “always support” him, he noted in the comments section of the web piece.
When asked about the experience of discovering the gender of his second kid, Cain said that he “didn’t know how to deal or cope with it if it was a little girl” and that “it could have been heartbreaking all over again.”
“She would still be a blessing, and I would still be over the moon and the best daddy — it would just be another bit of pain to navigate,” he said in an interview with The Sun. The fact that I now have a young girl and a little boy is ideal for me since it means I have two children. Azaylia would have been overjoyed to have a younger sibling.
During a checkup that took place twenty weeks into the pregnancy, Cain said that he had been handed yet another difficult blow when the doctors discovered a “potential heart defect” in his unborn kid.
According to what he shared with the outlet, “They were unable to locate the connection between one of the valves and the heart, which meant that it was yet another very challenging time for me.” When I was with Azaylia, I had already gone through a significant amount of difficulty. Because I had previously experienced the loss of a child, I was anxious and terrified that it may happen again.
He stated that following a final checkup, the doctors told him that they “think everything will be okay,” and that his kid would need to return for a scan after he is born in order to “double-check” the results of the scan.
His words were, “I want to be a hero to my son, for the hero that I have got in the sky,” and he went on to say, “I know this is going to be tough and difficult, but it is also going to be magnificently beautiful.”
In addition, Cain expressed his sentiments toward the future by stating, “I am really, really excited and happy, and I can’t wait to see what this next part brings.”
Following the passing of their daughter in 2021, he and Vorajee established a charitable organization known as The Azalyia Foundation. As stated on the website of the group, the charitable organization’s activities include of “donating to UK institutions advancing early diagnosis and the availability of new treatments, and collaborating with our community and other organizations to raise public awareness and campaign for change.”
