Gerry adds, “Had I known this would be how much pain I would cause someone, I would have never taken the first step in this journey.” If he had known how much suffering he would create, he never would have started down this path.

Gerry Turner is having second thoughts about his choice. On the episode of The Golden Bachelor that aired on Thursday night, the 72-year-old retired restaurateur went on Fantasy Suite dates with Theresa and Leslie. After the dates, he revealed to the cameras that he had decided who he wanted to end up with between the two ladies.

However, in a sneak peek that was shown at the conclusion of the episode before the season finale, it was shown that he is beginning to have second thoughts. The sneak peek begins on a positive one as Gerry announces in a confessional that he is going to propose to the lady that he loves and the woman with whom he wants to begin a completely new life. This is going to be the day of epic proportions that I’ve endured all of this for in order to appreciate.

Gerry still has a ways to go before he can reach that joyful moment, however, as shown by the fact that he continues to cry over the fact that he “took a really good person and broke their heart.”

Leslie and Theresa each had the chance to meet Gerry’s daughters, and it is at this time that Leslie calls Gerry “the man of my dreams” and Theresa acknowledges that she is “absolutely in love” with him.

In the sneak peek, Gerry is heard saying, “I think I made a mistake.” “The only time I’ve ever felt worse in my whole life is when my wife passed away, and this is a godd**n close second.” He then goes even farther, telling the cameras, “Had I known this would be how much pain I would cause someone, I would’ve never taken the first step in this journey.” In a prior interview with ET, Gerry described his affections for a number of different women. He said, “When you’re down to the last two people after that amount of time and that much investment, you really have strong feelings for them even though you know they’re not the right person.” Gerry’s current relationship is with one woman. They are in such close proximity to it. You feel like you’re so closely attached, but then you remember that they have to go. Oh my gosh, the scenario was far worse than I could have imagined. Then, during an interview with ET that took place during the filming of “Women Tell All,” Gerry guaranteed that his farewell episode would leave viewers “amazed.” “You are going to see something that has never happened before,” he said facetiously. “I think you will be moved as much as I was moved in the moment.”
