Isabeau Levito of the United States of America won the women’s singles competition at the Grand Prix de France in 2023.

According to CNN, the 16-year-old skater earned her victory with a total score of 203.22 points in the short program on Saturday. This came after she finished in third place in the free skate program on Friday with a score of 131.39.

According to Olympics.com, when asked about the errors she committed during her performance on Friday, Levito responded by saying, “I guess we’ll call screwing up the second half of my routine a dramatic finish.”

“I’m very happy with the execution of the first half of my program, but I’m glad I got through this, and I will definitely be working on this a lot more once I get back to training,” she said. “I’m very happy with the execution of the first half of my program.”

By a margin of 4.42 points, Levito was able to beat Nina Pinzarrone’s score of 198.80 and take second place. According to the information provided by the International Skating Union (ISU), Rion Sumiyoshi of Japan finished in third place with a score of 197.76.

In addition, Levito received the highest artistic score of the tournament by a margin of 2.72 points, as reported by NBC Sports.

According to US Figure Skating FanZone, this victory earns Levito her first Grand Prix gold medal in her career. She had previously won the silver medal at the Grand Prix Final the previous year.
