The singer and the former tennis player are the parents of three children together: twins who are 5 years old named Lucy and Nicholas, and a daughter who is 3 years old named Mary.
The romance between Enrique Iglesias and Anna Kournikova has been going strong for just about twenty years now. They have maintained a high level of discretion with regard to both their romantic connection and the running of their little family of three.
But in a new interview with People, the 48-year-old singer of “Bailando” reveals that every relationship — regardless of how beautiful it may seem to be to those who are looking in from the outside — takes the effort of both parties in order to be successful. It is the formula for a happy and fruitful partnership that will endure a lifetime.
“You pick things up as you go along. According to what he shares with the publication for the current cover story, “You Have Your Good Times and Your Bad Times, and If You Can Get Through the Bad Times, You’ll Get to the Really Good Times.” “I’ve heard a lot of people say things like, ‘Oh, well, I know this is the person I’m going to spend the rest of my life with.'” I can see where you’re coming from, but the thing is, you never truly know where life is going to take you or what may happen. ”
Iglesias and Kournikova first crossed paths on the shoot of his music video for “Escape” in December of 2001. They hit it off right away, and that chemistry has helped them weather the inevitable highs and lows that accompany any relationship, but particularly ones who are always in the public eye.

“When we first met, despite the fact that she came from the world of athletics, we were able to understand one other on some level. She had an understanding of how my world worked. I had a general idea of what it was like in her world. Therefore, having that comprehension was quite helpful,” she explains. “We just started connecting little by little and got stronger and stronger and stronger.”
This union produced a set of twins who are now 5 years old named Lucy and Nicholas, as well as a daughter who is now 3 years old and named Mary.
“When I pick them up from school and they’re having a difficult day, or one of them is weeping, or they’re fighting with one other, we say, ‘Guys, what’s your favorite song?’ “And then one breaks out into ‘I Like It,’ and then they all start singing it, and it’s so cute,” the singer adds. “And then one breaks out into “I Like It,” and then they all start singing it.” “Right now, all I can do is enjoy myself. I am taking pleasure in each and every day.
Even though his kids are his greatest fans, he won’t be bringing them along on The Trilogy Tour that he’s doing with Pitbull and Ricky Martin, so don’t expect them to come see him perform.
“When I go on the road, I miss them a lot,” he readily acknowledges. “I feel like they’re still not old enough to go on the road with me.”
Mary was born in January 2020, one year after Kournikova and Iglesias gave birth to their twins in December 2018. Iglesias spoke to ET back in March 2020, and during the conversation, he discussed becoming a parent and the recent birth of his daughter. ET was there for the interview.
He said, “I’m not sleeping, but I’m having a wonderful time!” I mean, there isn’t a single thing in the world that could make me consider changing it.”
