On Saturday, at New York Comic Con, the ‘Captain America’ actor broke the news to the audience.
Chris Evans has now made it known to the general public for the first time that he is a married man, and he could not be happier with his new role as a husband.
On Saturday, the 42-year-old actor addressed the stage at New York ComiCon to declare that he had wed the 26-year-old actress Alba Baptista one month earlier. Evans was not just making statements about it; he was also acting in accordance with it. Take notice of the gold band that he wears on his ring finger. This is the very first time anybody has seen him wearing the ring he received as a wedding gift.
“I got married,” an ecstatic Evans said to the audience at the Javits Center. “It was really, really great.”
Page Six was the first to announce that Evans and the Warrior Nun actress had a very low-key wedding, which was conducted at a private house in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. The event was attended by only close friends and family members. Due to the extreme confidentiality of the event, visitors were compelled to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and hand up their cellphones throughout the ceremony.
However, when speaking onstage at New York Comic Con, Evans revealed some more information, including the fact that the pair had two wedding ceremonies.
He said that it was more like two separate ceremonies. On the East Coast, we had one of them. We carried out the activity in Portugal. My wife is of Portuguese descent.
After that, he offered a shout out to Portugal.
Even for famous people, the wedding planning process is stressful and difficult. And Evans was the first to confess it.
“It’s a lot planning for a wedding,” according to him. “For those of you who are married, it takes a lot out of you.”
Evans said that he and his new wife are “through that” and that they are “kinda just enjoying life and gearing up for autumn” now that they have moved beyond it.
“It’s the best time of year right now,” he said further. “Now we’re just relaxing and enjoying life and reflecting.”
Just a few days after People named him 2022’s Sexiest Man Alive, it was reported to ET in November of last year that the duo was involved in a romantic relationship.
