On Monday, JaRae Womack wowed the judges with her own rendition of a song by Amy Winehouse, which completely blew them away.

On Monday’s episode of The Voice, JaRae Womack stunned the coaches with her performance during the Blind Auditions. However, she has always had a passion for singing.

The loud and passionate rendition of Amy Winehouse’s “Back to Black” delivered by the Florida native, who is now 35 years old, won her a four-chair turn from Reba McEntire, John Legend, Gwen Stefani, and Niall Horan when she walked the stage and sang it.

However, before her audition on The Voice, JaRae shared with the cameras her family’s long history of musical passion and how it has been passed down from generation to generation.

“My grandfather is amazing, he’s Cecil Womack,” she informed me. He was a member of a band known as The Valentinos, and Sam Cooke was the one who launched their career. He pursued his own career as a solo artist… and my uncle Bobby Womack, too, went on to pursue his own career as a solo artist… and now it’s time for Jarae Womack!

The coaches were overcome with emotion after JaRae’s performance since it demonstrated that she is unquestionably prepared to build a name for herself in the industry.

“That was insane!” Niall was astounded and praised JaRae for delivering a “standout performance,” during which she had made the song her own.

Reba made JaRae feel emotional when she claimed the song “touched her soul,” and Gwen applauded her for revealing her emotions via the “powerful” version. JaRae was also moved emotionally by Reba’s performance. “That’s the whole reason that we do music, right?” she pointed out.

John’s gushing appreciation also got the singer so close to tears that he almost lost it.

“There’s also something about soul that’s genre-less,” he stated further. “I couldn’t necessarily tell whether you were a soul singer, but I could tell you were a soulful vocalist, which indicates that something about it is genuine, honest, and passionate. I couldn’t necessarily tell if you were a soul singer. You had the song in its whole, you lived inside the song, and you were communicating really via music.

In the end, it was John’s sincere appeal that swayed JaRae to choose to become a member of Team Legend!

Reba shared with ET before to the debut of season 24 that Gwen, Niall, and John have welcomed her to the program “warmly, like a sister.” ET met with the coaches before the premiere of season 24. On the other hand, she saw that the pleasant atmosphere disappeared once it was time to get down to business.

“They’ve helped me, they’ve guided me and taught me, and then after I learned up to that point, then they say, ‘You’re on your own,'” was what she remembered.

“We still want to beat her,” John said with a grin. “We still have that goal.”
