Kayla Nicole, a reporter and fitness influencer, has written an inspiring open letter to Black females in response to the “backlash” she has received from internet trolls since the rumors that her ex-boyfriend Travis Kelce is dating Taylor Swift.
Nicole, who is 31 years old and has worked in broadcasting for many companies in the past, including ESPN, delivered her meaningful message to the camera in a video that was uploaded on Instagram. Before starting her presentation, she said, “It’s always been really important for me to use my platform not to create division, but rather to elevate and unite women, specifically Black women.”
“Dear Black girl, they could label you a traitor because you fell in love with a white man. You’ll have high hopes that those closest to you would keep you safe, but you’ll soon learn that others won’t defend something they don’t consider important to them. They will tell you that you are too much, too provocative, too raucous, and too vocal while simultaneously telling you that you aren’t enough.
Nicole said, “They will say that you deserve the backlash and embarrassment that you have received.” Due to the fact that you are Black, you ought to have been more aware of the situation. They will go so far as to attempt to link your value to your whole wealth. But Black girl, please keep in mind that your worth comes from other places. Your worth is hidden somewhere inside the depths of your being.
“You are under no obligation to take part in this arduous and sometimes one-sided adventure. Keep your heart protected, even if they attempt to measure your character and test your limits; you are not required to engage with them in conversation. You are not required to provide a response since there is strength in being silent.
Nicole urged the audience to use “that same power” in order to “silence the voices” that perpetuate “this demoralizing and antiquated narrative.”
The model and presenter expressed her hope that by spreading the message, it would serve as a reminder to other Black females that they aren’t the only ones going through the experiences that they are going through. “My honesty, the pain I’ve experienced, and the vulnerability I’ve shown are all relevant aspects of the human experience. I am aware that I am not the only one going through this, and I want you to be aware that you are not alone, either. “I have to remind myself that even on the days when I feel the most inadequate that I am, I have been, and I will always be more than enough,” Nicole said as she read the passage.
When Nicole was asked to reflect on the highs and lows of romantic relationships, she said, “We love, we hurt, and we heal,” and she added, “Your story is yours to tell.” When you get the impression that nobody knows or understands what it takes to be you, it is important to keep in mind that you are a component of something that is much larger.
In the last paragraph of the letter, Nicole wrote, “I want you to remember that you are loved. This is the most essential thing I want you to take away from this. You are highly esteemed. You are free to take up space in this room. You have a right to be protected, and your emotions are valid and important.

A number of well-known athletes, such as college basketball standout Angel Reese, have lauded the work that Nicole has done with her video. The NCAA winner, who is just 21 years old, stated in her letter, “From one black girl to another, THANK YOU for standing out for us! This was just stunning! In the comments section of Nicole’s article, someone wrote, “Always walk with grace and God because that is all that matters.”
During the NCAA Championships, the legendary athlete Reese spoke out in a manner not dissimilar to this. After being unjustly compared to Iowa star Caitlin Clark by users of social media and commentators, Reese claimed, “All year I was critiqued about who I was.” I don’t seem to fit into the story. The category that you all want me to belong to is not one that I can easily fit into. I’m not street enough; I’m also not ghetto enough. You told me that every day for a whole year. However, when other people do it, none of you say anything about it. Therefore, I am writing this for other young women who have my appearance and who aren’t afraid to stand out for what they believe in.
Despite the fact that Nicole unfollowed him on the app earlier this month, Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson Mahomes expressed his love and support for his sister by posting a series of heart emojis in the comments section. In spite of the years of friendship that had been portrayed on social media, she also stopped following Patrick and his wife, Brittany Mahomes.
Brittany, who is 31 years old, was seen chatting it up with Swift when the Chiefs and Jets were playing, and she later joined Swift and her companions for dinner in New York City. On Saturday, the party had dinner at the Italian restaurant Emilio’s Ballato and remained in the restaurant’s back room for more than four hours. Brittany stayed until local time 1 a.m., while Swift departed soon after at 1:30 a.m.

Kamie Crawford, who hosts Catfish on MTV, left a comment on Nicole’s post in which she congratulated her on her “grace” and added, “So proud of you and your grace.” In addition to that, the wife of San Francisco 49ers player George Kittle, Claire Kittle, commented on Nicole’s post with the words “I love you.”
In 2017, Kelce and Nicole first began dating one other. Although the exact moment of Nicole and Kelce’s first encounter is unknown, Nicole has disclosed in the past that the two of them originally made contact over Instagram. She divulged this information in an Instagram Story that has since been deleted, but TMZ was able to save a copy of it. “He had been following me and insta-flirting for a few months,” she said.
The public nature of Kelce and Nicole’s breakups occurred many times over the course of their relationship. In May of 2022, the relationship between the two people came to an end.
