Anna Nicole Smith was an American actress, model, and television personality. She gained her first notoriety for her work as a model for Playboy magazine, for which she was awarded the title of Playmate of the Year in 1993. She is most often recognized for the highly publicized court struggle she fought over the inheritance of her late husband, the billionaire J. Howard Marshall, as well as for her untimely demise in February of 2007.
She was given the name Anna Nicole when she started her pursuit of celebrity, having been given the name Vickie Lynn Hogan on November 28, 1967. Her first husband, Billy Smith, to whom she was married from 1985 to 1993, gave her the surname Smith, which she later adopted as her own.
The most significant dispute surrounding Anna Nicole included the assertion that she had only wed her late husband, Marshall, for his wealth. As a consequence of this, she and Marshall’s family got into a heated court struggle over who should get Marshall’s enormous money when he passed away. Anna Nicole stated that Marshall had made a promise to her that she would get one half of his inheritance, but due to interference from his family, he was unable to modify his will.

In 2006, Anna Nicole disclosed that she was expecting a child. At least four other men, including Birkhead and an attorney named Howard K. Stern, claimed to be the child’s biological father. Larry was found to be the biological father of the child, according to the results of a paternity test that was ordered by the courts.
In an interview with Fox News in the year 2020, Larry said that he and Anna Nicole made a concerted effort to make their relationship as discreet as possible.
“It was a secret to the rest of the world… I was not permitted to discuss our romantic involvement, and there were not many photographs or videos available that showed the two of us together. She was meant to be some sort of accessible goddess of sexual pleasure. That was her persona, that she was meant to be accessible to anybody who desired her and the thing that everyone wanted. It was detrimental to me in so many different ways.
After the untimely death of Anna Nicole in 2007 from an accidental drug overdose, Larry was granted exclusive custody of his daughter, Dannielynn, and relocated to Louisville, Kentucky, in order to shield her from the prying eyes of the media.
Larry did all in his power to provide Dannielynn with a normal upbringing after the death of Anna Nicole, which occurred when she was only five months old.
In the year 2008, Dannielynn was diagnosed with a health problem that could only be remedied by surgical intervention. Strabismus, often known as lazy eye, was a condition that Dannielynn struggled with. According to the National Health Institute, it is a condition that affects a significant number of children and creates a deviation in the person’s eye. In the event that it is not treated, it has the potential to cause irreparable damage to the patient and permanently impair their eyesight. Larry’s first reaction to the idea of Dannielynn getting surgery was one of skepticism. In 2008, he said in an interview with People Magazine that:
“I’m going to do everything in my power to make sure that it’s corrected, but having lost Anna and [her son] Daniel and my dad – my dad just came out of a simple surgery and he died – it’s just tough for me to think about surgeries with [Dannielynn].”
Because Larry chose to keep their lives private at all times, even on social media, Dannielyn’s formative years were virtually completely hidden from public view. However, in recent years he has offered fans never-before-seen views into their life and has pleased them by showing the extent to which Dannielynn resembles her mother.
The Kentucky Derby is one of those events that the father-daughter duo makes it a point to watch together every year.
“Since I did end up seeing her mother there, at first it consisted mostly of my escorting her back and guiding her around the area… And then it came to type of people looking for my kid there since I really don’t allow her participate in any public activities. So people started looking for her there. According to what he said to Fox News, “And so, in all honesty, the Kentucky Derby is kind of the growth chart for Dannielynn.”
At the occasion that took place in 2023, Dannielynn attended with her father and looked just like her mother had when she was Dannielynn’s age. The day before the derby, she wore a shirt that contained photographs of her mom’s Guess ad together with her mother’s jewels. This top also highlighted her mother’s Guess campaign. It was obvious that the younger Dannielynn had taken after her mother since she was wearing cosmetics. Dannielynn looked very stunning at the derby the next day, when she wore a dress with sunflowers on it and more of her mother’s jewels.
Larry uploaded images of him and Dannielynn to share on June 1, 2023. At the time, Dannielynn had just completed her 11th grade and was getting ready to start her senior year of high school. The photographs showed Larry sitting behind the wheel of a vehicle as Dannielynn sat behind him, doing her best to contain her amusement as she displayed photographs of her father on her mobile device. It said in the caption:
“There’s nothing like trying to have a serious conversation with your kid, only to be trolled with the worst pictures of you ever taken on their cell phone,” said one parent. “There’s nothing like it.” It’s impossible that I’m the only parent dealing with this problem!
On an appearance that he made on “The Steve Harvey Show” in July 2016, Larry discussed the difficulties he had as a single father while parenting Dannielyn. Even while he called their everyday existence a “adventure,” he also stated that there were moments when it was difficult for him, and he wished that there was someone else around to assist him. Larry shared his thoughts on how challenging it may be to bring up a daughter, particularly given the fact that she is expected to take on responsibilities and maintain the same level of activity that a mother would.
There were times when she was overheard on the playground expressing the want to have her mother back. He shared with Harvey that it was difficult for her to pay her respects at the gravesite.
Larry has ensured that the memory of Anna Nicole will live on. According to an article published in People Magazine, Larry remembered Nicole on the 15th anniversary of her passing by writing a memorial post.
“There will never be another like her. She had a hard time finding love and being accepted by others. Just when she thought she had a handle on any one of them, her life would take a turn for the worst,” he said.
Larry showed the group an image that was taken of them in black and white when Anna Nicole was still alive.
“Your love is still very much alive even to this day, and it can be seen in the shape of a genuinely one-of-a-kind adolescent girl who has her mother’s smile, beauty, and fortitude. We are grateful to Anna’s admirers for helping to ensure that her legacy will continue on. In addition, he said, “Anna Nicole, we adore you.”
During an interview with Today in 2016, Larry was asked about his feelings about the passing of Anna Nicole, and he said that there are moments when he still thinks about the tragedy.
“There are things left unanswered, things that I didn’t get to say to her,” he added. “There’s things that are left unanswered.” “There are days that, if I stop and think about it, and you ask me about it, you will see a tear, but every other minute of the day, you will see a smile,” she said. That’s the way things are going to be.”
