Despite Janelle Brown’s claims that there is still hope for their marriage, Kody Brown has been unsuccessful in his attempts to get back together with his ex-wife.
In the episode of Sister Wives that aired on Sunday, Kody shared the news that he had a unique present in mind for his divorced wife Janelle on the occasion of her birthday.
Janelle, who is 54 years old, decided to attend the celebration with the Brown family patriarch despite the difficulties they were having in their marriage. However, she said that they “had reached a point where we weren’t connected” and that she “was very frustrated” prior to their most recent explosive argument.
She went on to say, “But, on a very superficial level, Kody and I can go and hang out, and we can have a great time if I just compartmentalize and put away all of the other stuff.” Therefore, when he contacted them, he said something along the lines of “Yeah, hey, it’s better than staying home and watching TV.”
“At this point, I really don’t foresee Kody and I working our relationship out,” Janelle said further. “I have to always be open to the possibility that we will somehow be struck by lightning and that everything will turn out okay in the end,” she said. However, I am a realist, and I am aware that it does not provide a favorable image.
In addition to mentioning that their “recent encounter was perhaps the worst fight we’ve ever had,” the TLC personality said, “I don’t want any fighting. I just want to take it easy, have some fun, and make the most of today.”
Later on in the show, Kody went to pick up Janelle for her “surprise” birthday dinner, and as they were driving, he told her about his intentions to “start over” since she had requested for a “separation” four months before.
“Here’s the thing, obviously we’re in different places,” he said to the cameras. “And in this relationship, both of us have different points of view, yet she is talking about how we should not reconcile our differences. I don’t understand why we can’t, which indicates I have no idea what the core issue is. I have no idea what the problem is. Therefore, it’s a difficult situation.”
The 54-year-old individual continued by saying that he believes there is “potential” for the split couple to “manage” and “keep that relationship.”
Janelle, on the other hand, stated that she had the impression that the two were “kind in this place where there’s no connection anymore” despite the fact that “neither of us are making great strides or declarations of ‘I want this to work out’ or ‘I found a counselor.'”
“I still enjoy his company,” she said in the journal entry. “So this day, to me, it’s just a nice time to go hang out and do something for my birthday — do something to honor the event. We are not going to get into any profound topics here. I just want to take things simple, almost as if it were a date, simply the first date, the second date, the third date, or anything like that.
Kody wished Janelle a “happy birthday” and disclosed that he had booked a reservation at Mariposa, a restaurant that has been on her “bucket list” for a very long time. Mariposa has been on Janelle’s list for a very long time.
Kody revealed that he had the same sensation as “a guy on a first date that’s, like, jonesing,” while Janelle viewed their excursion as a chance to determine “if there is anything here.”
“So we’re beginning from scratch, right? It’s redefining,” she remarked, to which Kody grudgingly responded with a simple “Sure, okay.” “It’s redefining,” she said.
“I mean, all this effort to get to Mariposa and dress nice, specifically because I was looking for an edge into reconciliation,” he told the cameras, describing how he feels continual “blocks” in his relationship and Janelle “bringing me down a notch.” “I mean, all this effort to get to Mariposa and dress nice,”
Janelle said that she didn’t see how Kody and her could go on from where they were. Simply said, we are not the same individuals any more. He has a different point of view.”
She made a point of mentioning his dedication to her sister’s new marriage, Robyn Brown, and their children, saying, “They want to live the same kind of life and I’m really looking for a relationship where I’m equally considered.”
Before entering the restaurant, Janelle conveyed to Kody that she would like for the cameras not to be present throughout their date. She said that the “pressure of the camera” may be “intrusive” when she just wanted to “relax” and have “fun” on her birthday.
She subsequently disclosed that the “day was nice” and remembered a point when she “slipped my hand into his out of habit.” She also said that the “day was nice.”
“I thought this feels really weird,” she remarked in an interview when she was confessing her sins. “And as soon as I realized what was happening, I quickly removed my hand from his,” she said. “It just didn’t feel right any longer.”
You should realize that there really is nothing left there anymore. There just isn’t any. Janelle stated, “Our relationship has been falling apart for years, while Kody doubled down on his desires for reconciliation.”
“I’ve been in love with her before, so I can be in love with her again,” he added. “I can be in love with her again.” “All I can say is that I think it’s important for us to rebuild trust. I don’t want to be treated like a thing by her; I want to be treated like a human.”
