The month of December will mark Blanchard’s release from incarceration.
Gypsy Rose Blanchard will be free in a matter of months, which is years earlier than was originally anticipated.

The Missouri Department of Corrections stated on Thursday that Blanchard, who is 32 years old, will be eligible for parole on December 28.

Gypsy is now serving a 10-year jail term at the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri for the murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, in 2015. Her tale was documented in the Hulu series The Act.

Gypsy was led to believe by Dee Dee, who suffered from Munchausen syndrome by proxy, that she was confined to a wheelchair and afflicted with a number of persistent diseases. After being mistreated by her mother for many years, Gypsy eventually started going online in secret, and it was there that she became acquainted with a guy called Nicholas Godejohn.

The two people began an illicit connection with one another through the internet and hatched a scheme to eliminate Dee Dee, which they went on to carry out.

In 2016, Gypsy entered a guilty plea to the charge of murder in the second degree and was subsequently sentenced to ten years in jail. After waiting another two years, Nicholas was brought to trial for first-degree murder and received a sentence of life in prison.

In the midst of her life behind bars, Gypsy tied the wedding with Ryan Scott Anderson in the month of July 2022. The ceremony took place in the state of Missouri. ET was able to secure a copy of the couple’s marriage license, which revealed that Ryan is originally from Lake Charles in the state of Louisiana.

Gypsy used to be engaged to a guy by the name of Ken. They first became acquainted via the pen buddy program at the correctional facility. According to a story from InTouch at the time, they broke off their engagement in August of 2019.
