The quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs gave his thoughts on the pop superstar’s visit on Sunday with the squad.
After having a chance encounter with the legendary pop singer on Sunday at a post-game celebration hosted by Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes had nothing but kind words to say about Taylor Swift.
In a news conference that took place on Wednesday, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs remarked, “Yeah, I met her. She’s really cool, good people.” “But like Trav said, man, I’m going to let them have their privacy, and I’m just going to keep it moving,”
The remarks made by the Super Bowl MVP came only a few hours after Travis Kelce addressed Taylor’s visit on his podcast, New Heights, which he co-hosts with his brother, Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce. In that episode, Travis discussed Taylor’s presence at his game against the Chicago Bears, which resulted in a win for the Chiefs by a score of 41-10.
“Shoutout to Taylor for pulling up, that was pretty ballsy,” he remarked. “Shoutout to Taylor for pulling up.” I couldn’t help but think it was quite cool how everyone in the room had nothing but complimentary things to say about her. You are probably familiar with the term “friends and family.”
Travis continued his effusive praise of the singer by saying, “She looked amazing, everybody was talking about her in a great light.”
Taylor absolutely stole the show as she sat next to Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce, in the NFL pro’s private suite at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, and offered up enthusiastic cheers that included chest bumps, high fives, and plenty of shouting. She wore a Chiefs jacket and KSUBI denim shorts.
“To see the slow-motion chest bumps, to see the high fives with mom, to see how, you know, Chiefs Kingdom was all excited she was there — that s**t was absolutely hysterical and it was definitely a game I’ll remember, that’s for damn sure,” Travis said on Wednesday’s podcast. “That s**t was absolutely hysterical and it was definitely a game I’ll remember, that’s for damn sure.”
When probed more about the developing connection, Travis responded by saying that he would from this point forward maintain complete confidentiality about the matter.
“I am aware that I am the cause of all of this attention. Right, I’m the one that was I did the entire friendship bracelet thing, and you know told everyone how butthurt I was that I didn’t get to meet Taylor,” he revealed. Right, I’m the one that was I did the whole friendship bracelet thing.
“Uh, well, I guess so. “I think what’s real is that, um, you know, it is my personal life and um, I want to respect both of our lives,” he added. “I think what’s real is that it is my personal life.” “She’s not in the media as much as I am doing this show every single week and having fun during the NFL season on other guys’ shows, like [The Pat McAfee Show] and any other show that I go on from here on out, you know… I’m enjoying life,” he said. “I’m doing this show every single week and having fun during the NFL season on other guys’ shows.” And I certainly as heck liked this weekend, so in light of everything that is coming ahead, uh, I believe me talking about sports and saying ‘alright now’ will have to be sort of where I keep it.
In an interview given after the game on Sunday, Patrick joked that he felt “a little bit of pressure” to provide a victory for the Swifties by passing the ball to Travis and scoring a goal. “I think he wanted to get into the end zone just as much as all of the Swifties wanted him to,” he added. “I think all the Swifties wanted him to.”
Later, Taylor and Travis were spotted leaving the stadium together in his “getaway car,” and they kept the celebrations going as they closed down Prime Social Rooftop, a hip restaurant in Kansas City, for a private post-game party.
ET was informed by a witness that Travis had purchased the whole restaurant for the benefit of his family and team. After her arrival, Taylor was spotted nibbling, drinking some drinks, and dancing beside Travis. She was wearing a dress made of denim. The two showed a lot of care for one another while yet keeping the atmosphere light-hearted and entertaining. At the after-party, in addition to Travis’ teammates, his mother and father, Donna and Ed, were in attendance as well. The celebration continued till two in the morning.
TMZ was able to get its hands on several images from the event, and in one of them, Taylor can be seen standing on Travis with her arms around his neck as she seems to be speaking to someone on the other side of her.
A source recently verified to ET that the two had spent some time together prior to making their public debut at the game on Sunday. The source went on to tell ET that “Travis and Taylor have a lot in common and that they are having a great time getting to know each other.” They have similar beliefs and ideals. She appreciates that he made an effort to get in touch with her, and the relationship has been fulfilling on both of their ends.
“Taylor is enjoying some time off from touring, and it’s been fun hanging out with Travis during this break,” the insider said, noting that the singer had just finished the first leg of the Eras Tour, which she is now on. Travis has all of the characteristics that are important to Taylor in a potential partner, including the fact that he is successful in his own endeavors, supportive, and able to comprehend her.
