At the Video Music Awards, Fatone discussed the band’s recent reunion and discussed how fans may have an impact on the band’s decision to go on tour in the future.
Joey Fatone is still in shock after the exciting and long-awaited *NSYNC reunion that took place at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on the previous Tuesday.

Fatone, who is 46 years old, participated in a pop music panel discussion on the first day of ’90s Con Florida. Other panelists were Howie Dorough and AJ McLean of The Backstreet Boys, Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins of TLC, and Fatone himself.

During the course of the discussion, a question was posed to Fatone about the occasion of the awards show gathering. At that event, all five of the group’s founding members—Fatone, JC Chasez, Lance Bass, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Justin Timberlake—took the stage and ended up presenting Taylor Swift with the award for Best Pop Video. Fatone said with amazement, “It was so much fun!”

It was a lot of fun to watch the MTV Awards. According to People, he shared his sentiments by saying, “It was fun for me and the guys to get back together.” “It was unreal in the sense that we were separated from one another as if we had taken a step back.” It seemed as though everything just slipped into place.”

The reunion, as well as Fatone’s presence at ’90s Con Florida, takes place at the same time as the impending release of “Better Place,” which will be *NSYNC’s first new song in more than twenty years. The next computer-animated feature film Trolls Band Together will include the tune in its soundtrack.

During the panel, Fatone expressed his excitement that *NSYNC would soon release a single by saying, “We’re excited for them to come out with a song.” Which is an insane thing to say after twenty-five years. And I’m sorry, but I have no idea whether there is a tour!”

Having said that, it is quite evident that Fatone would be open to one, and he claims that it is the responsibility of fans to convince the powers that be to listen to their requests for new *NSYNC songs and a reunion tour.

“If the fans want it that much, yell at the record company, yell at Sony, yell at RCA, yell at them to say that they need a *NSYNC album,” Fatone added. “If the fans want it that much, yell at the record company, yell at Sony, yell at RCA.”

He also hinted to the imminent arrival of Justin Timberlake’s long-awaited new album and suggested that fans may be treated to further new *NSYNC material in the aftermath of that album’s premiere performance.

“Obviously Justin is going to release his album, and as a result, he will most likely be conducting a tour; I have no doubt that he will be doing that. Then, let’s just keep our fingers crossed because I can’t make any promises, but I’m really hoping that we can work on something together,” he said.

In the meanwhile, Fatone’s presence at ’90s Con Florida comes only a few days after Justin Timberlake uploaded a video of him simply hanging out with his fellow bandmates while recording their new hit for the Trolls Band Together soundtrack.

On Thursday, Timberlake provided his fans with an inside glimpse into the recording session that they used to lay down the tune by posting a video on Instagram and sharing it with his followers.

“When the stars align… I got my brothers back together in the studio to work on something fun, and the energy was really something special.” Better Place will be available on September 29 LOVE Y’ALL,” Timberlake added in the tweet.

An emotional scene was shown at the beginning of the video. The singer of “SexyBack” opened the scene by explaining to his former comrades how significant the occasion was.

“There was a confluence of events, and that’s why I struck you all. I was like, ‘Hey, something came up,'” he added. “I was like, ‘Something came up.'” If we perform this song, it will be our way of showing our appreciation to the audience. It would be a pleasure for me to work with the band on this song.

The video then showed Timberlake sitting behind the soundboard as the other members of the band recorded their vocals for the single, and he reacted to each member’s performance. The music was playing in the background so that fans could have a sneak peek at what was to come.

When it is released on September 29, fans will have the opportunity to hear the band’s song, which is a significant amount of time before the premiere of Trolls Band Together on November 17. Watch the video that may be seen below to learn more.
