Robin Roberts and her longtime girlfriend Amber Laign have finally tied the knot after spending almost two decades together.

On Friday, the host of “Good Morning America” wed her longtime companion, Amber Laign, in a private ceremony that took place at their home in Farmington, Connecticut. The pair made the announcement on the Instagram account that they both use to post photos of their dog, Lukas.
Man of Few Words The snapshot of Lukas, who is wearing a little tuxedo for the occasion, is accompanied with the statement “My moms are MARRIED!!!! Are you married?……yes…..are you married!!!! 👰🏾♀👰✨.”
The news presenter with decades of experience went on Instagram on Sunday to commemorate the event and post images that she had taken during the ceremony.
A little, enchanted wedding ceremony was held in our garden, and it was immediately followed by a lively reception. Oh, the dancing! The post made by Roberts was accompanied by a photo carousel, the first image of which showed her and Laign strolling hand in hand while dressed in fashionable bridal dresses made of ivory. The train on Roberts’ dress was quite short, and it had a jeweled neckline and haltered bodice. Laign’s neckline, on the other hand, was draped and she had a lace train that extended behind her.
Both of the ladies displayed their timeless wedding glamour for their guests by wearing their hair pulled back out of their faces and fastened in place.
On Friday, Roberts uploaded a touching video on her Instagram account, in which she and Laign can be seen completing the very last task before their wedding day, which is acquiring their marriage license.

Since they started dating in 2005, Roberts and Laign have been looking forward to this significant life event for a very long time. Roberts revealed her sexual orientation to the public for the first time in 2013, saying she is thankful for her “longtime girlfriend, Amber” in a Facebook post she made at the end of the year. This was over a decade after she first hinted at her orientation. At the 2014 GLSEN Respect Awards, the pair made their first appearance together on the red carpet.
More recently, in January, Roberts said that she and Laign had engagement plans and were planned to be married.
