On Friday, as the court hearing involving Kevin Costner’s former wife Christine’s request for enhanced child support progressed, the actor’s forensic accountant disclosed the alleged spending habits of his client’s former partner. Christine Costner and Kevin Costner are no longer together.

Christine, 49, is said to have spent an average of $18,000 per month on expensive apparel and more than $3,000 per month on beauty products and treatments, according to a breakdown of the family’s monthly spending that was supplied by the Yellowstone star’s forensic accountant Tracy Katz. The family’s monthly expenses totaled $240,000.

According to the forensic accountant, the family also spent over $40,000 per month on presents and flowers, and almost $9,000 was withdrawn from ATMs. Before estimating what percentage of those monthly costs were spent on the couple’s three children, boys Cayden, 16, and Hayes, 14, and daughter Grace, 13, Katz deducted those sums.

After a hearing that lasted for two days in Santa Barbara, the judge ultimately decided that Costner should pay Christine child support in the amount of $63,209 a month.

After 18 years of marriage, Christine began the divorce process with Costner in the month of May.

According to the records submitted to the court, the next month she made a request for child support in the amount of $248,000 per month, claiming that the sum was “less than the amount needed to maintain the children in their accustomed lifestyle.”

A court made the original ruling in July, which said that Costner was required to pay Christine a monthly child support payment of more than $129,000 for the couple’s children.

According to court records acquired by PEOPLE, Christine asked for an increase in the amount of child support she receives from her ex-husband of more than $46,000 per month to a total of $175,057 per month. This is a significant increase from the previous amount of $129K that she had been getting.

Kevin said in front of the judge, “My greatest fear is that the court will order me to pay child support that is excessive in comparison to the requirements both for the needs of my children and for the requirements of Christine.”
