The actress said in an interview with ET, “I think it’s going to be something really special.”
On tonight’s episode of The Voice, Melissa Peterman is all set to hear Reba McEntire perform. In a recent conversation with ET’s Denny Directo, the actress who once starred on Reba raved over her former co-star’s role as a coach on the successful NBC singing competition.

“I am so excited,” Peterman said in an interview with ET. “I believe that when they get to the live versions, you can count on me to be in the audience,” she said. I can hardly wait to go and see it. I really like The Voice.

Peterman cited her friend’s extensive experience as the reason why she was the ideal candidate to take over for Blake Shelton on the program, saying, “She’s been around and done it all.”

“To be a woman that is continually evolving and staying relevant and selling out an arena tour and [earning] another GRAMMY nomination in 2018, I think she’s going to bring so much knowledge and [a big] skill set,” she added. “I think she’s gonna bring so much knowledge and [a big] skill set.” “She has a lot of concern for creative people. I can hardly wait. I’m delighted for the individuals who have chosen her to be a part of their team. I have a feeling that it’s going to turn out to be something really remarkable.”

“It doesn’t matter if you’re into country music or not,” Peterman remarked. “It’s all the same.” “She knows the business like the back of her hand, and she understands what it takes to become a star.”

Peterman said that when Reba McEntire is not working, she enjoys getting together with friends for game evenings. McEntire is a country music superstar.

“Reba and I spend a lot of time playing games. “She has a fiercely competitive spirit,” Peterman said. “… She actually told me once that I was right about a rule change, and I was like, ‘What, say that again?'” I was not paying attention.’ Because I seldom hear someone say it to me, “You were right,” I made sure it was saved on my phone. That is absolutely correct, Melissa.'”

It is possible that Peterman’s preparation for her new job as presenter of the new game show Person, Place or Thing was aided by the games she played with McEntire.

“I like to call it 20 Questions for the 21st century,” remarked Peterman. “… We have categories, such as a person, a location, or an item, and players have the option of asking yes or no questions, similar to the game 20 Questions… We play a fast round in which I only provide hints about the topic, and then we play a final round in which they have to identify a person, place, or object within a minute. Simply said, it’s a lot of fun.”

Peterman acknowledged that responding to inquiries requiring a yes or no response might “get really tricky” due to the fact that “sometimes people ask the craziest things.”

“The good news is that I have an incredible staff that helps research all of the yes or no questions,” she added. “The bad news is that I do not.” “I get to look really smart while someone is talking in my ear,” the speaker said.

Peterman has, for the most part, appreciated the new position he has taken on.

“I am really passionate about performing. I really like acting in comedies. Even while I take great pleasure in all of those activities, there is one particular aspect of hosting that I find very gratifying. I’ve always been a big admirer of game shows. I had a lot of fun with them. “I really and completely adore it,” she stated. “… It brings me great joy to give away the money of other people. Being someone who is highly competitive in games, it’s good to be able to take a step back and say, “My job is to just make it as feasible and as smooth for you to win,” because it makes you realize that your job is to do the same thing.
