When Christie and Wesley Werts first met each other five years ago, they had no idea that their love story would include a child born with extraordinary abilities. After getting married, the pair decided to combine their two families into one. Together, they grew to become one large blended family since Christie had a daughter named Megan, and Vance and Wesley had children named Austin and Dakota.
After a lot of effort, the couple was finally able to expand their family with the addition of Levi. They waited for the adoption procedure to be finished and their newborn son to be brought home for a total of sixteen months.
On the other hand, the manner in which Levi located them was heartwarming; in fact, he was for Christie and her family a case of their dreams coming true.
In August of 2021, Levi was born to a family in Texas. Wesley’s mother had a previous relationship with another guy before she had his mother. Reportedly, both Levi’s mother and her lover were addicts while they were using drugs. It is believed that the boy’s biological mother took drugs while she was pregnant, which resulted in Levi’s birth occurring 33 weeks before his due date.

Unfortunately, she passed just four days later as a result of the problems associated with the coronavirus as well as her addiction. Christie and Wesley were unaware that she was pregnant until Christie’s sister broke the news to her husband that she had passed away leaving behind an infant son who had no one to care for him.
When Wesley informed his wife of the situation, it seemed to almost be as if he already knew that she would want to take him in. Because Christie knew firsthand what it was like to be moved about from home to home, she was adamant that her son Levi not be raised in an unstable atmosphere.
She and her husband had also considered the possibility of starting a family of their own, but Christie, who was in her late 40s at the time, was aware of the possibility that she might need fertility treatments.
Even more unsettling was the fact that Christie had been having recurring nightmares about a kid with blue eyes and blonde hair before she found out about Levi. She emphasized once again, “For the last three months, I have been experiencing this dream. When he wasn’t acting like a baby, he was acting like a toddler.
After that, she became committed to the idea of adopting the child. The family traveled to Texas to meet Levi with Child Protective Services, and just as Christie had imagined in her dream, as she went in, she was greeted by the infant who had been in her visions.
It was love at first sight when they first met. “But the moment I went in and laid eyes on this infant with the blonde hair and blue eyes, I was head over heels in love. It was a really unreal experience. This is my younger kid. “When my daughter Megan saw him for the first time, she exclaimed, ‘He has our button nose!'” the mother said of her son.
Christie had already begun the process of adopting Wesley’s children, and she was well aware that she would eventually take Levi in as one of her own children as well. The pair was well aware of the peculiar nature of the circumstance in which they found themselves.
Wesley had to work with the emotions brought on by the realization that he had once been in love with Levi’s mother and that he was now responsible for raising a kid whom she had with another man. But getting Levi back to his family was always the primary objective.
Adopting a newborn is a challenging and complicated procedure. The National Adoption Foundation estimates that the process may take anywhere from two to seven years. The couple, on the other hand, believed that their circumstances would be unique given that Levi’s aunt was involved and that they already had an adoption process under way.
However, there was no part of the procedure that was simple. Because Christie and Wesley needed to be in Texas for court processes, they had to sell their property in Ohio and relocate there. On top of everything else, Levi’s biological father was still alive and still had parental rights, which meant that the kid was not permitted to leave Texas until those rights were revoked.
After a grueling period of sixteen months during which the couple was subjected to home visits, personal interviews, and court appearances, the adoption of Levi was eventually completed, and they were able to bring their new son or daughter home. Throughout the whole process, Levi was known only by his last name since his birth mother passed away before she could give him a first name.
But before she took her last breath, she made sure everyone knew that the baby’s last name would be Werts. This just served to heighten the sense that Wesley and Christie’s lives had been blessed by the presence of Levi.

Levi, who just turned two years old, is a joyful little kid who just celebrated his birthday. The parents have everything all out to tell him the narrative of his beginning when he is old enough to comprehend it, but for the time being, they are content to watch their son develop.
Even though Christie’s motivation for adopting a child was motivated by compassion, she was nonetheless subjected to a great deal of backlash from online users. One user believed that she was exempt from the need to publish the tale online.
A member of the online community made the statement, “I mean, poor baby; he’s going to see this when he grow up and is going to give him a lot of depression and more.” Many of the people who left comments said that the mother did not have to post the tale online since it was not necessary. An further user highlighted, “Some things you don’t share on the media, and this is one of them?”
