On Wednesday, during the first live results broadcast of season 18 of America’s Got Talent, the first votes in the qualifying rounds were disclosed, which resulted in nine hopefuls being eliminated and two stars advancing one step further on their path toward winning the competition.
All of the show’s main cast members, including the judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara, and Heidi Klum, as well as host Terry Crews, gathered once again to discuss the public’s reaction to Tuesday’s performances.
During the beginning of the episode, Simon said, “I think I know what’s going to happen tonight, [but] there may be some surprises.” On the other hand, he wasn’t really ready to find out who went home and who continued on.
It was up to Terry to let everyone know who had made it into the Top 5, which meant that the other six contestants would be eliminated relatively immediately.
After all was said and done, it was discovered that the top five acts of the evening were as follows: the ventriloquist and mentalist Brynn Cummings, the multimedia artist Oleksandr Leshchenko, the dog act combination Adrian Stoica and Hurricane, the singer Mitch Rossell, and the renowned blind soprano Lavender Darcangelo.
This meant that America voted to say goodbye to the Nashville-based rock band True Villains, the 10-year-old dancer Lambros Garcia, the SAINTED Trap Choir, rock guitarist John Wines, stand-up comedian Maureen Langan, and the danger act pair including daredevil Ray Wold and his daring mother. Additionally, this meant that America voted to bid farewell to the SAINTED Trap Choir.
However, out of the Top 5, only two could go to the finals, and to the pleasure of everyone in the crowd — and Heidi, in particular, since she gave her a Golden Buzzer — Lavender Darcangelo was the first to advance to the finals!

Lavender, who captivated America on Tuesday with a fantastic rendition of “I Wanna Know What Love Is” by Foreigner, exclaims, “I don’t know if I’m dreaming or if I’m awake!”
“Lavender, my soul is overflowing with joy at this very moment!” It was shared by Heidi. “I can hardly wait! I promised that I would walk by you and guide you to the end of the race, and now look what’s transpiring!
On Tuesday’s episode, country singer Mitch Rossell gave a stunning performance of his own original song titled “All I Need to See,” which helped him secure the other slot in the finals. This performance won him the opportunity to compete in the competition.
Mitch said that he had “no words” to convey how he felt about the outcomes when he was asked how he felt about them.
I believe that this action is the finest illustration of what I was speaking about previously. In reference to Mitch’s performance in the qualifying round, Simon said, “An amazing audition, and when you get to the live shows, you’re even better.” “This is what it’s all about when you’re on the show,” the host said.
The next week, 11 more candidates will get the opportunity to perform on stage for a second time in the hopes of impressing the voting public and earning a spot in the competition.
