Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have been married for a whole year already, and on Sunday (August 20), the “Waiting for Tonight” singer posted a celebratory photo on Instagram to mark the occasion and pay tribute to the couple’s undying love.

“One year ago today,” she wrote with a series of images from the couple’s Georgia wedding, before previewing lyrics to her new song “Dear Ben Part II” that will be included on her forthcoming album This Is Me…Now. “Sitting here alone / Looking at my ring ring / Feeling overwhelmed / It makes me wanna sing sing / How did we end up here / Without a rewind / Oh my / This is my life,” she penned in the song. “This is my life.”

The future Mr. and Mrs. Affleck first met each other on the set of the movie Gigli in 2002, which was the first of two films in which they would star together before they were engaged in 2004. Jersey Girl was the second film in which they appeared together. The wedding that was originally scheduled for 2003 was pushed back to 2004, after which the pair decided to end their relationship. Bennifer had a party to commemorate their marriage in August 2022 in front of family and friends at their property in Riceboro on the Hampton Island preserve outside of Savannah, Georgia. The celebration took place only one month after the couple formally married the wedding in Las Vegas.

One of the unique wedding ensembles that Ralph Lauren created for Jennifer Lopez may be seen in the video that is located above. In an email that was sent out to followers, Lopez revealed images of the outfits, which were also uploaded by Vogue. She said in the newsletter that “The dresses were gorgeous… “please accept my gratitude, Ralph Lauren.”

Now, the multihyphenate is getting ready to release her new album, which has the working title of This Is Me… Now. The record was motivated by the multihyphenate’s marriage as well as how much she has developed over the years. “whether you were wondering whether you, like me at times, had lost hope or nearly given up, the message of the record is very much that you shouldn’t. She explained it this way to Zane Lowe of Apple Music back in November: “Because genuine love does exist, and some things do last forever and that’s real.”
