Eric Braeden, who plays Nick on Young and the Restless, has been declared cancer-free.
On Sunday, the 82-year-old German actor who has played the role of Victor Newman on the soap opera for more than four decades shared the happy news with his fans through Facebook Live.
Braeden can be heard saying in the video, “As of three days ago, I am cancer-free,”
The star of the soap show, who had previously disclosed his condition in April, has conveyed his appreciation to his audience. He expressed his gratitude to the audience by saying, “I thank you for all of your good thoughts and all of your prayers,” and went on to say that their support “meant a great deal to me.”

The conversation proceeded with Braeden saying, “I can tell you obviously it has helped because I had my last cystoscopy two days ago — that’s when they thread a camera into your bladder — and I am cancer-free.”
“They couldn’t find a damn thing,” he continued later. “They looked everywhere.” “Isn’t that nice?” you could ask.
The seasoned actor continued by stating that even because the cancer cells in his bladder have been removed does not imply that “this is all over.”
The star of “Young and the Restless” claims that he is still awaiting the results of an MRI that will determine whether or not the cancer that began in his bladder has migrated to other parts of his body. And even if the tests turn out to be negative, he indicated that he will still have to go through a number of preventive injections.

The actor said that he is “obviously happy” with his new cancer-free status, adding later in the live stream that “getting older is great.” “That obviously makes me happy,” he remarked.
“Man, I just like life. Why on earth wouldn’t I? he said. I’m now working on the number one show. It has now been at the top spot for 38 years. Why should I even bother to complain? That would be really offensive.
In an interview with PEOPLE that took place in May, Braeden was frank about his cancer diagnosis, which he had disclosed only one month previously, as well as the reasons why he chose to share it with the public.
“I decided to go public with it because I can help people not to be so fearful of it,” the actor said to PEOPLE, adding that he also hoped his diagnosis would serve as a reminder for men to “have this damn thing checked out.” “I decided to go public with it because I can help people not to be so fearful of it,” the actor told PEOPLE.
“Difficulty in urinating or in completely emptying your bladder is one of the first signs,” he continued, “and this difficulty will only get worse as the prostate grows.” It presses on the urethra, and as it becomes larger, it presses against it more and more. As a result, there is a reduction in the flow.”
He went on to say, “It gets to the point where you wake up every half hour not to pee because you can’t get rid of it,” which is a really frustrating situation. That’s about as clear as straightforward as it can get.”
Braeden had first been given the incorrect diagnosis, which is another reason why he wanted to raise awareness about bladder cancer. A urologist later verified that Braeden had stage 1 bladder cancer, but the actor said that he wasn’t too scared when he heard the news.
“I knew I was going to meet it head-on,” he told. “It was a challenge I was up for.”
