The individual who was driving the vehicle that was involved in the catastrophic motorbike accident that took the life of actor Treat Williams has made a statement.

A few days after Vermont State Police stated that Ryan Koss will be charged with grossly negligent operation with passing arising from the incident that occurred on June 12, Koss issued a statement via the representation of his attorney, Ian Carleton.

According to a statement sent by Koss that was received by US Weekly, Koss said, “I am devastated by Mr. Williams’ tragic passing.” “Treat is someone who I have known for a long time, both as a fellow theater creator and as a part of this close-knit group. He was someone I thought of as a friend. I am certain that his family is grieving the unexpected passing of their loved one much more sincerely than I am, and I extend my deepest sympathies to them.

According to Manchester Journal, Koss serves as the managing creative director of the Dorset Theatre Festival, which is an event in which Williams was previously engaged.

Koss chose to voluntarily meet with state troopers a week ago, and as a result, he was cleared of the charge and freed at that time. On September 25th, he is scheduled to appear in court for his arraignment.

On June 12, Koss, 35, was driving the Honda Element SUV when he made the maneuver that put Williams’ motorbike in the path of the vehicle. VSP has said in the past that they think Koss tried to drive into a parking lot before turning into the path of Williams’ motorbike and colliding with it. Koss would stop and indicate a left turn before making the collision.

Following the collision, Williams was found to have sustained life-threatening injuries and was eventually declared passed at Albany Medical Center. Since the tragedy, the New York Medical Examiner’s Office has concluded that Williams passed away as a consequence of the serious injuries she sustained and the amount of blood she lost. He had 71 years.

On the day of the accident, Williams’ agent of 15 years, Barry McPherson, sent a statement to People in which he said the actor had passed away as a result of the accident.

He was put to passing earlier this afternoon. He was either turning left or right when a vehicle suddenly drove in front of him and cut him off. I’m simply at a loss for words. He was the kindest of all people. McPherson remarked on how gifted the individual was. “He was a performer’s performer. The film industry adored him. Since the late 1970s, he has consistently served as the beating center of Hollywood. He had a lot of pride for his work that he had done this year. He is delighted with the results of the job that I did for him. His career has been well-rounded overall.”

Matt Rapphahn, who was a witness to the accident, described what he saw to ET after the fact. He said that he saw Williams “flying over the hood of the car and then” falling on the ground.

One week after the actor’s passing, his family and friends “honored his memory during an intimate funeral” in Vermont, and McPherson told ET that the service “was beautiful and filled with love.”

Ellie Williams, who is 24 years old and was the actor’s daughter, paid tribute to her late father one month after he passed away. She reminisced about the Hair and Everwood actor as a loving father who provided her with “the best life imaginable.”

“Because I have never been through this sort of loss before, it is difficult for me to put my feelings into words; but, I will do my best for the time being. “I have been home with my family in Vermont for a month now, but it feels like just yesterday that I frantically got on a plane home after I got that phone call,” she stated in the caption of the photo she posted on Instagram.

“It seems as if he’s just been gone for a short while shooting. On the other hand, I keep putting off the realization that he won’t be returning home at this time. This love is the kind that only comes around once in a lifetime. A daughter’s unlimited affection and utter adoration for her father, as well as a father’s indescribable love for his daughter.
