A plea for immediate assistance was what roused Wendy Broom from her slumber in the year 2016, and it was made by her daughter. A little hairless puppy was seen trotting across the road in front of their home; it was obvious that it had been abandoned. Could they assist with the dog, which had a number of scratches and scrapes and was critically underweight?

Broom did not waste any time and sprang into action.

According to what Broom said to The Dodo, “I had a little box, and I put a blanket in it.” “And [the puppy] went immediately to it and curled up right in it.”

Broom and her family checked the dog over at the veterinarian after taking it there.

Broom said in a post on social media that the patient suffered from acute mange and was infested with many species of worms. We were had to provide special baths to her, complete with medicinal shampoo. In addition to that, she was taking medications to treat the infection that was in her skin. It was a process that took many weeks before her hair was completely regrown.

Additionally, the puppy, who Broom and her family ultimately decided to call Taylor, had a problem with her front leg and was had to wear a splint and cast for around two weeks because of it.

During the course of her medical treatments and flea washes, Taylor’s attitude gradually started to change. The first several days that she spent at Broom’s house, she did not speak much at all. But as she learned that she was secure and that others cared for her, a whole different version of Taylor began to emerge.

“Within a couple of days, her whole personality started changing,” Broom added. “She began engaging in more physical activity, and she quickly became an extremely playful child.”

After Taylor’s leg had completely recovered, her fur had grown back, and she had finished her round of deworming medication, she was ready to be a normal, happy, and active puppy. And fortunately for her, she’d found her way into a group of fellow canines that are always up for a good time and seem to take great pleasure in hanging out with her.

If you can’t find Taylor romping about the house with her furry brothers and sisters, just look for her at her mother’s side. And Brooms feels the same way about her rowdy rescued puppy as anybody else does.

“I really do feel like we’ve created this special bond,” said Broom. “She never leaves my side, and she enjoys gnawing on anything she can get her teeth on.” She is simply so vibrant, and just being around her makes me want to grin.

Since Taylor was rescued and brought to the house of her saviors more than two years ago, the little dog has only become more self-reliant, and her personality has truly developed along with her increased self-assurance.

Broom described her as “such a sweet girl who loves everyone” when asked about her. “She adores spending time outside and will keep herself entertained all day long if you let her play fetch.” She is constantly in a good mood and ready to have fun.”

And despite the fact that she is kind with everyone, Taylor has a particular aversion to gophers and the golf cart that her family uses.

Broom said that the golf cart posed the greatest threat to her. “She believes that it is her responsibility to shield us from it.”

Broom is under the impression that it was a sign that her family was supposed to discover Taylor when they did. Broom said, “I really believe that she came to us for a reason,” and I agree with him. “We rescued her, but I also think she was brought to us to assist us adjust since our senior dog was becoming elderly. since of this, I believe she was sent to us. He went just a week ago, and she had him to thank for teaching her how to behave like a dog.

Broom said that having her around has been beneficial due to the fact that she is so vibrant and full of energy. “Because of this, the house doesn’t seem quite as empty now that he’s gone.”

And despite the fact that she is kind with everyone, Taylor has a particular aversion to gophers and the golf cart that her family uses.

The previous version of Taylor, the one who was scooped up and put in that cardboard box, never in a million years could have anticipated the life she is now leading. She has every imaginable luxury, is constantly showered with affection, and is leading the type of life that any dog would be proud to call their own.
