After making an appearance in court on Wednesday, Kevin Costner’s ex-wife was given some unsettling news: her plea for further time to move out of the Yellowstone star’s house was rejected, and she was also ordered to be out by the end of the month.
At the court in Santa Barbara, California, which Christine Baumgartner attended with her counsel, she was given the order to vacate Kevin Costner’s residence by the 31st of July. She had previously said in court records that she would be willing to agree to move out by the 31st of August, provided that Costner agrees to her request for child support, which is 248,000 dollars per month.
The hearing was conducted via the use of Zoom, and Mr. Costner appeared there wearing a white button-down shirt and black reading spectacles. During the whole hearing, he remained silent and paid attention exclusively to what was being said. Laura Wasser, the attorney for the 68-year-old actor, was present in court for the hearing. When ET asked her for comment, she refused to provide one.
Before the hearing, Christine was described by an eyewitness as seeming “soft-spoken and composed.” She wore a light pink long-sleeve top with black slacks and black strappy heels. ET was told by this eyewitness that Christine wore these clothes. After the hearing, ET attempted to speak with Christine and her attorney, but both of them refused to comment.

The hearing takes place precisely one week after Christine submitted court paperwork demanding an extension of her stay at the oceanfront property that she and her ex-partner had previously shared in Carpinteria, California. Christine, who has three children with Costner, including a boy named Hayes who is 14 years old, a son named Cayden who is 13 years old, and a daughter named Grace who is 13 years old, has been clear that she “cannot effectively plan her move until” the problem of child support has been settled.
Regarding Costner, he provided a response to Christine’s child support request of 248,000 dollars per month by basically stating that this is an excessive amount for a variety of reasons.
ET was able to receive the records that were submitted in court by Costner’s attorney, in which he said that Christine’s list of the children’s “needs” for the purpose of child support is “inflated and grossly inaccurate.” He asserted that Christine is “fundamentally dishonest as to certain items included in her calculation of the children’s’reasonable’ needs, such as private school tuition for two of the children (failing to mention that only Grace will continue private school), and her own personal, non-child related expenses, such as extensive plastic surgery for herself in 2022.” He cited the example of private school tuition for two of the children.
In a nutshell, Kevin Costner has said that he is prepared to pay child support in the sum of $51,940 per month. He claims that this figure is appropriate given his “station in life and ability to pay.” Additionally, he will pay for “100% of the children’s health insurance costs, the youngest child, Grace’s, private school tuition, the minor children’s extracurricular expenses, the hunting club fees, the expenses related to Cayden’s car and all expenses related to it.” This refers to the price of Cayden’s car as well as Grace’s private school tuition.
