When she accepted to foster Apple, FART’s Diane was told she couldn’t walk. Apple was thrown over a fence, and her injuries were uncertain.
Apple could only go in one direction and very little circles at Diane’s place. She stood shakily. Diane knew Apple still had life when she saw her small tail swinging.
Apple fought. She persevered. Diane helped Apple learn to feed herself.
Diane made an apple sling and practiced six times a day to assist Apple walk. Apple enjoyed walking with her sling. Apple walked, while Diane only held her chin.
Then the unbelievable happened. Apple began walking independently and pranced. Apple danced through life, delighted to be alive.
Diane liked her little walk. Apple was brave. Diane, a once-in-a-lifetime dog, failed foster care.Diane’s love has helped Apple live fully. She perseveres despite her challenges. Even though injured and feeble, the small dog kept trying to be her best.
Apple serves as a source of creativity for Diane and everyone else she comes in contact with. She embraces every moment of life and doesn’t allow anything hold her back from doing so.
