Evan Ross has said that his children feel “in awe” when they are around their grandma, Diana Ross.
At the annual Rosé Day celebration on Saturday, the actor and musician, who is 34 years old, talked with PEOPLE about how much his children appreciate seeing their great singer of a grandma perform in front of an audience.
“They love it,” he says of his son and daughter seeing Diana, 79, sing during her performances. “They can’t get enough of it.”
He went on to say, “And even my two-year-old already,” after that. They hold their granny in the highest regard.
Evan and his wife Ashlee Simpson Ross have two children: a boy named Ziggy Blu, age 2, and a girl named Jagger Snow, age 7.

During the event, which took place at the King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas, California, Evan spoke on his impending summer plans with his children, stating, “They’re gonna come visit me because I’m going to be shooting a movie in Malta.”
However, they will be spending time with their family, and as my mother is now on tour, we will be attending some of her performances. He continued by saying, “Everything is going to hopefully be a really fun summer.”
Prior to that, in January, Evan had said the following about his mother to People at the Aspen Snow Ball: “Her entire thing is love. My mother does not act for any other purpose but love in anything that she does.
In the next sentence, he said, “And I would never speak for her, but I know that for a fact.” Never, ever is it about the money. Never, ever is it about… It everything comes down to love. My mother is the kind of person that cares about her children and about the grandkids she has. She has a kind nature for humanity in general. And she has a stunning appearance. That brings us to the end.”
During the charity event, Diana gave a performance, and Evan, his wife, and their three children were in attendance.
“I’m so happy that we’re all here,” Evan said further. We’ve been going to Aspen for a number of years now, and it never ceases to amaze us. It’s a lovely thing for all of you to do together.”
Diana is not new to the practice of celebrating major holidays with her large family.
The artist, who is also the mother of Tracee Ellis Ross, Chudney Ross, Rhonda Ross, and Ross Naess, spent Christmas that year with all five of her children and all eight of her grandkids. Tracee Ellis Ross, Chudney Ross, Rhonda Ross, and Ross Naess are her children.
Evan captioned the photo with “HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!,” which shows the whole family dressed in matching red sweatsuits.
